I had surgery exactly one year ago. The narcotics I was given to kill the pain caused two problems; withdrawal,my doctor did not tell me to ease off them...AND...Hives. Again, I had to figure this out on my own. I knew I needed a Dermatologist. I've been on Doxipin for many months....problem better but not gone...10 pound wt. gain. Sound familiar to anyone??!!

I have tried Rid and Nix and both have been horrible failures!

I just washed my daughters hair with Nix today and then four hours later found a huge one on her head very much alive. I am going bonkers!

Maybe all this "cleaning and washing" is just making it worse. Has there been a study that proves soap actually is necessary? After all, before soap was invented, people never cleaned themselves, and acne isn't caused by poor hygiene anyway.

Every time you clean your face, new oil appears, just like a car, it can't run with old used oil, right?

This year I have developed 2 cists, one in my thigh and one in my lower back. The one in my lower back became infected and swelled to the size of a marble, which made this huge red irritated, sore, itchy spot on my back. I had to take medication for it but it was still awful. Does anyone know how to deal with a cist that gets infected? can this be dangerous?

My girlfriend sometimes gets a rash around her neck when she wears a necklace. The first time it was a necklace made of wood, the next time, the necklace was made of metal. The same type of rash is caused. I realize to avoid getting the rash, she could simply avoid wearing a necklace, but does anyone have any idea what might be causing this reaction, or whether it is a sign of something more serious?

I recently developed a severe case of eczema on my leg. The shin part looks like crocodile skin...very unattractive. I went to the dermatologist asap!!! I have been using the corticosteriod VANOS (flucinonide .1%) which appears to have made it worst. I'm not happy especially since the medication cost $160 with insurance. I recently switched to triamcinolone .1%. I also use Eucerin cream through out the day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Please answer this if you have experianced this
Shigles without breaking out:

Info:
66 year old woman with COPD and emphysemia..
We belive she has Shingles..she has had them before about 6 years ago..with out break..But she has no breakout of rash this time tho the pain seems the same. She has been in pain in her back aeras and has hurt so bad she lost her breath and had to be hospitalized for 9 days /3 on a respirator.
Has been this way 6+ weeks

What are the meds you where given/how well did they work for you?
Anything you did that relived the pain? heat or cold?

any info will help..We found info that you can indeed have shingles without a breakout..after another Doctor said to just wait the pain out and see if it's just Gall stones or she had hurt her back..
She can't bear the pain at times and we need to do something.

My friend stayed over a couple weeks ago. She went to the Doctors and found out she had scabies. She wore some of my clothes and slept in my bed when she came over. I had a small spot on my hand that looked like a bug bit two weeks later. It itched and hurt then in the morning was gone. 2 days later I had another spot that itched and hurt and looked like a pimple. I read that scabies is a bunch of itchy bumps, but i only had like two and they werent at the same time. Please help me!!

It only comes when my legs rub together. They are like zits. If I sit for long periods the pressure causes a bump on the back of my thigh where I was sitting. I need to get rid of these please. Any suggestions?
