I suggest treating it both internally and externally. Internally, I recommend trying all-natural Optiflora. This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach.
Includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Patented guaranteed delivery of 500 million miccroflora to intestines.
Perfectly safe for everyone from infants to seniors.
For topical treatment suggest Small Wonder Creamy Baby Oil. It's more like a cream than an oil. It provides the same benefits and protection, but it's faster absorbing and less greasy. It's pH balanced and dermatologist tested for delicate skin, and contains soothing vitamin E and allantoin to help prevent dryness and irritation.
This has worked for little ones with this condition many times.
Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or website.

There are foods that contain natural anti-inflammatory properties (pineapples are one). My oldest daughter & I suffer from eczema mostly in the winter, if we are stressed out, or if we ate something that we shouldn't have. What I know helps the itching is a combination of tea tree oil and Cetaphil or aveeno lotion. We also wash with the soap free cleanser and we limit our time in the shower. I would have her allergies tested again because there is always the chance that she has a dairy or gluten (Wheat) allergy - which for whatever reason is becoming more of an issue these days. Steroid creams will only work less over time (like you said) and the tea tree oil I mentioned has anti-fungal &anti -bacterial properties. Just be sure you don't use too much tea tree oil -a drop or two of good quality organic oil (mixed in with the cetaphil) will be good for the entire body. Good luck:) Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternafolia) is a great “entry level” essential oil for natural medicine. This oil is nontoxic and proven effective for the treatment of nonspecific infections. When using the oil to treat skin conditions make sure it is organic.

I have my son skin rashes all over the face and the some rashes in the body. The doctor told me that it is an eczema, which he get from the formula or either because of the weather here.
He told us to use PERDERM 0.05% and LIPOBASE CREAM.
My son eczema is gone in only 2 days, but he still need to use LIPOBASE CREAM to moisturize his skin.. Now, all the rashes is gone..and his skin looks flawless..
I also recommend this to my friend last week.. and it works to her nephew..
Just try.. maybe it will work to your grandson too..Its really effective..If you want I can send the picture of my son to you.so you will see the rashes on his face before. If you try this and works, just let me know so I can recommend this to other friends whos experiencing the same problem..

Find a research institution doing basic research for Eczema. The convetional treatment is STEROIDS and it is harmful if treatment goes longer and longer. You really need a very good physician specialist who also understand dietary precaution and other allergic factors. Also remember one thing, sometimes steroids succefully subside the Eczema and you might feel that he is cured. If he is unfortunate than subsided Eczema returns as ASTHMA of worst kind. Good luck and in the meantime pray for little angel's fast recovery.

Most allergies are caused by reactions to certain foods. Start by eliminating wheat (no bread products or cereal with wheat, there are other types... rice, etc.), dairy (no cow's milk but you might try soy products, no ice cream), eggs, citrus (including oranges and other similar fruits but do give him apples, bananas, pears, grapes) and as little sugar as possible. That still leaves lots of veggies, meat and fruit to chose from. Also you might try changing bath soap and the laundry detergent... use less and definitely no bleach. There are 'Aveeno' products including creams and something to add to the bath water to soothe the skin. I'd hate to think that a doctor didn't discuss these issues with you first.

I Know lots of people that have had eczema really bad,and have tried EVERYTHING, only to have nothing really work.
Anyone from 3 years old to 80 years old.
Really sad.
Until they tried a lotion that I know of that has T-36 C3 melaleuca oil in it.( T-36 C3 is the highest grade of tea tree oil )
I personally do not have eczema, but this has really helped alot of people.
I don't sell it or anything but if you want more info you can email me at enhancinglivesdaily@yahoo.com

i have exzema, i have managed it a bit better, well actually alot since i was young....my best suggestion comes from my experience....i found that i had adverse reactions to some substances, so, by fluke i got rid of those conditions and my exzema went away (mostly)
so perhaps look for environmental controls that can be changed, like humidity, or something in the air, like perfumee smelling stuff, carpet/air deodarizers.....use a non smelling soap like neutrogena, its orange see thru in colour....you have to experiment and see what changes cause him relief, it takes alot though casue it could be anything, if you can go away for a trip, and get rid of everything around him, and go with new surroundings, clothes, scents, etc....that may give you a clue
hope i was helpful

Ask a dermatologist about using Tazorac and Temovate in combination. I know the two together work much more effectively than either does alone.
