I have psoriosis, and I am going to go to a dermatologist, but until then I need something to stop the itch and some pains I have. Also I need some way to bring up my esteem about it, I feel disgusting and ugly because of it because for most people it covers their elbows, knees. For me its everywhere from my waist up and gets worse each time I wake up in the morning... its just really starting to get frustrating.

Across the world some 125 million people - up to 3% of the worlds population - suffer from psoriasis, a serious skin condition that can cause debilitating discomfort and distress, I am one of these people. Approximately 23% of these people - that's 28 million - go on to develop painful psoriatic arthritis. Quality of Life (QoL) research shows that people with psoriasis have almost the same reduction in QoL as people with diseases such as cancer, diabetes, or depression. Psoriasis can even lead some patients to consider suicide as the only alternative they have.

Better diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis is needed now to alleviate the suffering of many millions of people around the world who are not getting the help they need.

I believe that the World Health Organisation (WHO) must take urgent action to recognise psoriasis as a serious disease deserving international attention. By doing so, the WHO will increase the possibilities for people with psoriasis to gain access to appropriate care and treatment.

I have tried prescription creams, shots, over the counter ointments, etc. It flares from time to time and while I try not to scratch it, I usually do in my sleep. Anyone had any luck with something that actually works to keep it toned down??

I'm not super skinny (size 14) and I dont do drugs, so why am I suddenly seeing my veins all through my arms and shoulders and thighs? And I dont just mean my forearm, but like every vein in my arm, and even the palms of my hands.

I am pretty pale, but I've always been pale, so why am I only noticing this now?

Is there something that would cause this? Something I can do to stop it?

I am getting bit by something, I thought maybe bedbugs, or spiders, but I don't know where they would have come from, and have treated my house with alot of residual raid. I quit sleeping in the bedroom and am now on a bed on the floor at the opposite end of the house, sometimes the spots are showing up in the afternoon,8 hours after waking up. They say scabies (which I also don't know where I would have got them from) start on your hands or feet, wrists or folds of skin. First I got a dozen on my left arm, then a few on my right arm. Next I had 25 all over the front of my upper body, they started to go away (about 5 days) and I woke up with a few on my left leg, by the time I went to bed that same night I had 20 on one leg and 30 or more on the other and dozens on my lower stomache. No bites for 2 days and wham! Today they are starting in the middle of my stomache and shoulder, who knows how many I will have tonight!!! WHAT COULD IT BE?
I've never had allergies or skin conditio

I look like Angelina Jolie. My lips are swollen, painful and I don't know why. They've been like this off and on for a few months, but now it's constant. I called two dermotologists today and they said they can't take new patients until December. What could this be?

I am going to be on accutane for 3 months and wonder what others' experience on this was like? I hope it works, and I wonder how long your skin stayed clear for after your cycle on accutane,a nd also, what did you use to wash with while on it; must it be something very gentle? Thanks!!
