I have psoriosis, and I am going to go to a dermatologist, but until then I need something to stop the itch and some pains I have. Also I need some way to bring up my esteem about it, I feel disgusting and ugly because of it because for most people it covers their elbows, knees. For me its everywhere from my waist up and gets worse each time I wake up in the morning... its just really starting to get frustrating.

I also have or had severe psoriasis. I feel for you because I know how horrible it can be. I went to many doctors and dermatologists, and never got any relief. Finally my dermatologist recommended that I get a shot (sorry, can't remember what the medications was). He informed me that it could have major side effects, such as weight gain, depression, but worse....it could and had caused cancer. I would rather deal with psoriasis.

I decided to take matters into my own hands. I read everything I could find about psoriasis. As I'm sure you know, it is caused from an auto-immune deficiency. It can be hereditary and lead to many other problems.

I stopped taking anything that the physicians had prescribed to me. No ointments, pills, and definetely NO shots!! They weren't working anyway.

I started taking vitamins. I know this may sound silly and alot of people are turned off by the all natural approach, but I felt it was worth a shot. I chose to use Shaklee products because I was familiar with them and felt that they were the best out there. I now take there Vita Lea - 2 tablets (multivitamin), B-Complex, 2 tablets, Vita E + Selenium, 2 tablets and Zinc 1-2 tablets every day. I have done this for 13 months now and have been psoriasis free for 10 months. I saw results and had NO itching after two weeks. It took a couple of months before the patches completely cleared, but I could tell that they were healing. www.shaklee.com is the website. Check into it. They have a 30 day money back guarantee, so if you don't see results, you can get 100% of your money back.

I also drink Oolong tea. It tastes good, and it helps soothe the itch. You can buy it in most grocery stores.

Feel free to email me if you want any other information. Good luck!

For my kids, I use an OINTMENT (Walgreen's brand) Hydrocordisone OINTMENT ---NOT CREAM!!! It costs about 4 dollars. It helps with the itching, plus, it heals the scaliness& scabs in a couple of days. If you are having more & more appearances of the psorisis, it may not look like it is helping, but it is. Keep using it for a week, and see the difference. When all else fails, I use the antifungaal cream that is used for atheletes feet. NO Kidding!!!! My kids Never have any visual scabing because of thier psoriosis. My peditricain told me about these two products when my son was 12 days old; he's almost 9 now, and if he starts to get itchy, I just rub some of the Hydrochordisone OINTMENT on the spot& viola!!! No uglies! Good Luck.

Try T-Sal shampoo by Neutrogena. It has salcylic acid in it, which is the best without a prescription. Don't get down about it. I've had it for years and you get to the point where you don't care what people say. Mine used to be really bad on my legs. I looked like someone had carved holes all over them. Ask your doctor for clabetesol (I'm not sure of spelling). I got in a medical study for it and mine was completely gone in 3 days without scarring. Look in your area for any medical studies for psoriasis. You may find something that works and you get paid for it. Good luck, I sympathize with you.

Anyone from 3 years old to 80 years old.
Really sad.
Until they tried a lotion that I know of that has T-36 C3 melaleuca oil in it.( T-36 C3 is the highest grade of tea tree oil )
I personally do not have eczema or psoriasis, but this has really helped alot of people at a really reasonable price.
I don't sell it or anything but if you want more info you can email me at enhancinglivesdaily@yahoo.com

There is a product that smooths it out. It is not a permanant solution. It is called "Dead Sea Salt. I buy it from a store in the mall called Sabon. I tried looking it up on the internet, but did not find it. Any product with the dead sea salt in it is good. Do not feel disgusting. It is a materialistic world out there. But if someone doesn't like you for who you are F**K them. It's whats on the inside that matters.

My dad had one of the worst cases seen by doctors in the US. I'm not excaggerating it's true. He ended up having to do chemotherapy to help control it.

He said tanning always seemed to be the most helpful.

Psoriasis is a persistent skin disease that got its name from the Greek word for "itch." The skin becomes inflamed, producing red, thickened areas with silvery scales, most often on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. It results when skin cells start reproducing wildly, and piling up on the surface. The most common symptoms of psoriasis are thick, red patches known as plaques, and dry, silvery scales. Recent research indicates that psoriasis is likely a disorder of the immune system. No one knows what triggers your immune system to cause psoriasis. It is believed that you must have a genetic tendency to be susceptible to the condition. But once your immune system is triggered, it sends a false alarm to your skin cells, telling them that they’ve been damaged. The skin cells react by attempting to repair this “damage.” They begin reproducing at an accelerated rate, rising to the skin surface, dying, and building up there. The skin surface thickens. As blood vessels expand and more blood flows to the skin, it becomes red. The result is the flaky, red patches you know as plaques.

While Eczema and Psoriasis are completely different skin disorders, they are often treated with the same methods. Cortisone creams, ointments, and lotions commonly prescribed for skin disease may clear the skin temporarily and control the condition in many patients. Side effects from steroids include thinning of the skin, dilated blood vessels, bruising, and skin color changes. Treatments that are recommended by doctors and pharmaceutical companies worldwide amounts to futile attempts at mere symptom treatment, instead of the trying to address the root causes of the condition. Symptoms you see on the skin express the body's attempt to heal, but are not the cause of disease

Because the causes of Psoriasis are due to autoimmune disorders, I recommend products which are high in anti-oxidants to help boost and maintain a healthy skin matrix. This includes Vitamin Supplement. And Aloe Based Skin Care
Here's why Aloe is good for you:
1.) It Penetrates. It actually sinks down into the lower layers of the skin (dermis) where your collagen
is. Nothing you buy over the counter can do that. Why is that important? Cause if you buy something
that says it boost collagen, it's not true. If it can't reach the collagen, it can't help the collagen.
Penetration is also important when it come to cleansing, you want an aloe based cleanser to clean
deep down in your pores.

2.) It Exfoliates, Aloe is a natural exfoliator, the plant enzymes actually break down the soap and
residue that hold dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. Dead skin cells make your skin look flaky,
dry and dull. A build up of dead skin can also break down your collagen over time (causing wrinkles)
which is why it is so important to exfoliate. Aloe does it naturally without scrubs or chemicals.

3.) Aloe Regenerates- Aloe regenerates skin 11 times faster than you body does naturally. That's
why aloe is often used on burns. If you have scars, sun spots, wrinkles or any other skin damage, aloe
can help heal it fast!

4) Aloe is a Natural Anti- inflamitory - Acne anyone? Redness? Aloe cleanses, removes impurities,
and shrinks and tightens pores all at once.

Here are a few more things aloe can do for you:
Heals psoriasis in up to 83% of suffers in 16 weeks.
Rub it on inflamed joints to ease pain.
Drink aloe juice to build a stronger immune system.

If you're interested I can create a Psoriasis program for you. You can contact me through my website at

Good luck!
