If it's hives (raised, large bumps.....look kinda like wasps stings) you should get him to a dr as it is indicative of a severe allergy. If it is just a rash, it could be SO many things.....unless he has other symptoms (a fever, nausea, diarrhea, trouble breathing, etc) there is no need to rush him to the ER. A rash could be due to a viral infection, an allergy (new food, new medicine, new laundry soap, clothing...the list is endless), contact dermatitis, heat, poison ivy, etc - treatment is similar. Hydrocortisone cream can be applied (not sure if this is what you mean by "itch" cream) Stay away from anything with lidocaine....this can cause sensitization. You could also give him some benadryl which is an antihistamine (it will help the rash and also help him sleep). If it's really itchy, an aveeno oatmeal bath can bring some comfort. If it doesn't seem to be clearing up by mon i would take him to the dr. good luck

Maybe. My grandmother is bipolar and I've grown up very close to her so I have a lot of experience with it. Many people who are bipolar do not show signs of it and are not diagnosed until they are much older. For my grandmother, the very first sign of her condition was when she was an elementary school aged child, she would beg and beg for her mom to invite a friend over, but when the friend would come to the house my grandmother would start crying and say that she wanted her friend to leave and would run into her room and cry and cry for her friend to leave. Apparantly this was repeated fairly often. People thought she was just spoiled. Also back then, knowledge about this disease was fairly limited, so my grandmother wasn't actually diagnosed until her 40's. Things have changed a lot since then. Is your grandson spoiled and coddled? If so, this could be a temper tantrum / "I want to be in control" thing. Or, if he has witnessed a lot of arguing and strife in the home, that could be the cause of it. Small kids can't cope with their parents' fighting very well, and it can come out in all sorts of ways. You also might want to ask if anything has happened in his life that could be the source of his anger. Has any relative died recently? Did he lose a pet? Is he struggling in school? Has he been left alone with babysitters or anyone who might have abused him in some way? If the anger has absolutely no cause, and comes and goes with the wind, then I hate to say this but yes, I'd be pretty concerned about his being bipolar. The truth is, you won't know if he's bipolar until you've had him checked out. I would go to his normal doctor first, and describe his symptoms or any unusual behavior. There could be something physical other than bipolar disorder causing this. Something as simple as a hormonal imbalance could be your problem. It also might be beneficial to visit a family psychologist. They are experts at figuring out the source of something like this. One thing I can tell you for sure: if he is indeed bipolar, you want to catch it EARLY. The sooner the better. The longer he goes without medication, the worse it will be for him later in life. Also, since bipolar people are notoriously adverse to taking medication at all, it's best to get him in the habit as young as possible so that hopefully, as an older person he'll be better about it. Bipolar used to be called Manic/Depressive, and people would lean toward one side or the other. My grandmother was on the depressive side. If your grandson is bipolar, it sounds like he's more on the manic side. All the more reason to see a doctor SOON. Sorry for what you're going through. Best of luck to you, and I hope it turns out that there is a simple, easy solution to the problem! PS - There is a really big difference between kids being kids, and an actual case of bipolar disorder. Bipolar kids are not normal kids. (Just like bipolar adults are not normal adults!) Their brain chemistry is different and they are not just "acting out" - they are compelled to do these things beyond their control. That's why it's so important that you get to a doctor SOON. If he actually is bipolar, he will need medication every day of his life to bring his brain chemistry back into balance, where it's supposed to be.

You need to be watching for other symptoms that might indicate anaphylatic shock...an allergic reaction that could be serious.
YES by all means, see a Dr.
You could be seeing some heat rash which is what I think when I think of the rash being under the arms and bottombut when you mention it is all over his body I get really concerned that it is something else.
PLEASE take the child to a Dr and even if it is something simple,it can be resolved. If it is something more serious you may avert a more serious problem(s).

It sounds like an allergic reaction to something. Has he been near an poison ivy or oak? Did he take new medication? Was the laundry soap recently changed? Any new food?

I would see a doctor if the rash continues to develop or does not get better within a few days.

well when you have chicken pox the best thing is bath after bath very soothing for a child, but as far as legality, most definateley if the rash is there on Monday, see a doc, let them figure it out and you can say you did what you could!

I would definitely see the Dr. Some different skin diseases mean other things. Otherwise, is the child bathed on a regular basis?
