my friend has been diagnosed with MS today.

I was expecting if because his legs are affected, he walks unsteadily.

The neurologist tesed his eyes on 01.08.07 and assumed it was MS because one eye was slow at following the neurologist's finger.

During the diagnosis, the neurologist teste his eyes again and said this his eyes are better.

I have advised my friend to take evening primrose and a multivitamin.

I dont know if that helped.

Any advice?

This weekend I have been to the ER two times, in 24hrs. I had 18 tubes of blood taken out, with neck xrays. All were negative. The last doctor who saw me mentioned Fibromyalgia. I had and still have tons of stess in my life, which may cause this. I had to quit my job, due to fatigue, tremors, and pain in my joints and muscles. What is the best thing to do for Fibromyalgia, diet, medications? What should I take for my hair loss? I just turned 31 the day he mentioned this to me. Im scared, please help
Thank you

Amy

I saw this movie yesterday...I was HORRIFIED...

In the movie, whole Britain is destroyed by a terrible virus which turns the humans into zombies who kill and eat everyone...
The most terrifying thing is the fact the virus has IMMEDIATE effects, and the attacked person becomes a zombie in less than 1 minute.
In the movie, there are some scary images and horrible scenes, and last night I was so scared that I closed all my windows ( despite of the heat )
I noticed that ,at several times, the virus could strike new victims just because of the psychology and the pity of the characters ( the US soldier who refuses to shot the young child, and he decides to save some humans ; the military doctor who wants to help the two children ; the husband who kisses her infected woman, because he beg pardon ; the helicopter US Black pilot who accepts to carry the two children; etc...)

I never felt such a thrill in my whole life

THAT KIND OF VIRUS CANNOT EXIST, CAN IT ?

For the past three weeks I have been extremely fatigued and suffering from insomnia. It is like I just don't have any energy and I don't want to move but I have problems sleeping and when I do get to sleep I never get into deep sleep, I am tossing and turning. The past two weeks I have only gotten out of bed long enough to check the mail, eat and shower. I had blood drawn at the doctor and I am waiting on the results. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to help. Thanks.

I got stung by a bee on my leg last Saturday the 29th and was infected with cellulitis, a bacterial infection of the skin. I have a growing hive. I went to the doctor yesterday (Monday) and he gave me medicine and said it should clear up soon. Unfortunately the affected area seems to be getting worse. Its turning a darker red color and is very hot. It itches badly and is somewhat painful. I feel like the symptoms are getting worse, but I don't have a fever.

Should I be concerned? I'm going for a follow-up appointment soon (Thursday?) but I'm afraid the infection is going to spread into my knee, joints, and bloodstream.

Thanks for any help!!

My husband today developed a headache (taking ibuprofen did not help), was also nauseous and could not focus his eyes to see objects nearby. He went to see a doctor, who said it was a tension headache and prescribed some medication.
I am, however, still worried. Based on the symptoms, could it be something more serious? Do you think he should get a second opinion?

Around a week ago, the doc switched my dose from 20 mg to 15 mg of adderall. I don't feel like the drug is doing much, but I can't tell if this would really make a difference. I used to take 30 mg XR, but I think it effected my sleeping patterns. I would like to know the effective dosage that someone my age and weight would take. Thanks.

So my mom told me this morning when I woke up that she was taking my dad to the emergency room.
She said he came home from work throwing up, stomach hurting, and hurting around the shoulderblades.

He's in the hospital, and he has a bunch of gallstones.
My mom said he has to have his gall bladder taken out tomorrow.

First of all does anyone know what the gall bladder does?
And is this a "common" surgery?

Thanks for anyone that has information.
I really don't like seeing my dad like this.

um.. i woke up on saterday, with my glands bothering me. Its been a few days and my glads are still alittle enlarged and my left side hurts alittle.

After going to the doctor, they said it might be mono, but i dont want to do a blood test.

What do you think? mono or something else. I was tested for strept and it was negative.

There really isnt anything else wrong, no head aches, high temps, problems with my throat, etc..

So what do you think, is there anyway to know without blood test. as i hate needels.

Does any know of anyone personally that has died from taking this drug?? Does anybody have any real facts (or found on the internet) about the potential of death from using taking this medicine? Please provide links if you do.
I have been able to find some information but most of the information I have read reflects that this is potentially a very dangerous medicine to take with many very serious side effects. (I know all medicines have side effects but this one has a very long list of very serious and potential life threatening issues)
I called a pharmacist about this and all he said is it can cause drowsiness or dizziness...I have found much more than that!!
I have very personal reasons for asking these questions so if you are not going to provide a serious answer, please do not bother.

I think I have cystitis as a result of some vigorous loving last night. I have been deperate for toilet all day and when I go it feels like I am passing blades. I noticed that very pale blood has been on the tissue when I have wiped and last time I went I had a tiny clot on the tissue. Does anyone think this is cystitis? I am drinking Cystitis relief sachets that taste vile but if it does the trick, I'm all for it. Help please.

Has anyone heard of anything like this, or know the name of it, or know a good resource to find the answer??

Serious responces only please!

I've tried "banding" and that proved to be very painful and not too successful. The doctor offered a couple of surgical procedures, but both sounded painful and not something I'm anxious to try. The infrared coagulation therapy looked promising to me, but the doctor said it's not too effective. I want to make sure that he was speaking truth, and not just wanting to promote the surgical alternative.

2 months ago I had an operation on an arthritic joint at base of my thumb.. Since then my hand - fingers & wrist have been very stiff, swollen & painful. I have hand therapy each week, but the swelling doesn't seem to go down,
Several times each day I massage the hand, use alternative hot / cold water dips, use wax therapy, exercise all finger joints & wrist. Use a soft squeezy ball. I use finger splints several times a day. I also wear a pressure glove which I gather is supposed to help reduce swelling. I can now move my fingers into a partial fist, but the whole hand is still very painful, swollen & not able to carry anything. Any further advice appreciated for relief of this condition.

Years ago I had an operation to remove a growth from my right thumb. I'm not sure of the exact medical term, it was similar to 'large cell growth' or 'large growth tumour' or similar. It was benign and had simply become a painful lump in my thumb preventing my from using power tools or writing with a pen amongst other things.

Can anyone shed light on what this may have been please?
