I took my son to the doctor today due to what I thought was a bug bite on his penis and was told it was jock itch. I thought that it was only found in adult men. What is causing the jock itch in my 5 year old son?

It may appear over the cause of either several days or weeks and go unnoticed until discovery. There is no hair on the patch, and it is -just- off the parting near the crown. It is unnoticable unless looked for, but when found, appears as if a small 5 pence piece size hole has been completely shaved off.

Hi, I just noticed that my father was having trouble making out his checks last night, he'll be writing and then it trails off. Yet, this is a man who has worked in a factory for 35 years and still does, he does not seem to have any other PD symptoms yet his doctor said the stiffness he is getting may also be a symptom. I am worried about his writing, does anyone have info. on writing issues with Parkinson's?
Thank you!

I have a marked lordosis of my spine which has been getting worse. Today i was told that the spine is twisting to the left as well. My core stability muscles have wasted. This is not good and I wonder if anyone has come across this before? What is the prognosis?

I have had this done before and I have NEVER had it hurt this bad or this long.....I don't want to accuse my doctor, but I think that she has done something wrong and I am not sure what to do besides see her again..And I don't feel that I should have to pay her again if it is related to the injection that she gave me....What do I do ?

For those of you with Tourette's Syndrome or for those who have loved ones with it......does light flicker (computer, tv, movies) make the tics worse? I am asking for my son. His tics seem to flare up more when he plays games on the computer.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I read this on a website (answers.com) tonight and I thought it rang true for me. Do you think this is the case for you?
"Certain stressful processes during gestation (pregnancy) or at the time of birth may increase the chance for a person to develop TS. Other non-genetic factors that may predispose a person to TS include: severe psychological trauma, recurrent daily stresses, extreme emotional excitement...."

I was thinking the especially the severe psychological trauma part. My parents divorced when I was 3 and their relationship was violent. Then I lived with daily stress caused by a stepfather who was too harsh. I am always trying to get to the bottom of the root cause. I have always thought my case of TS was "brought out" because of stress.

I am not asking for personal stories unless you want to share one. I just want to know if you have Tourette's do you think this could be the cause of your case? I hope this question is not too personal.

I have to wait 2 more months to see a neurologist. I am concerned, because I am starting to have "episodes" again where I cannot walk or move my left arm. My doctor won't do anything, he says I need to be treated and diagnosed by a specialist. He told me whathe thought I had...but I want to see what others have experience or knowledge.

Paralyzation also includes confusion.

Hi. I've been having lightheadedness for about 4 months now. I had it for about a month, then it mostly went away for a month or two, and now it's back again.

Basically the only symptom I have is that I feel lightheaded and somewhat detached from my surroundings. I feel especially lightheaded and detached when I move my head around (especially if I had bent over for a long time) and it's only really present when I stand up. I also think I am more fatigued / get tired sooner than I used to be.

I went to the doctors about 3 months ago but he wasn't concerned about it. I have a blood test to do at some point but so far I haven't had the time.

In the last few days, I've been feeling headachy. I'm not sure if this is a symptom of my problem, or if it's just because I've been stressing about about this a fair bit.
I have also felt pressure in my ears recently, not much but enough to be annoying. My ears have been popping (not to extreme, but noticeably so) as well.

Any ideas?
