Has anyone had appendicitis?

A very sharp, poking type of pain in my lower right side several inches in from my hip and a couple of inches higher from my where my thigh began. It started to feel like a dull ache every so often, then began to hurt more and more, and then it felt like a stabbing jolt of pain any time I moved. I also had a temperature. I hadn't complained or told anyone about it because I was young and didn't want to go to the doctor, but it just happened that I had a check up appointment and I doubled up in pain on the examining table. When the doctor pressed onto that spot, I practically jumped off the table in agony. I was lucky and had it removed that evening. People die of a ruptured appendix.

Yes, at first the pain felt sort of like a deep aching/cramp in the lower right abdomen just above the hip bone. It lasted for about 2 days and want away. Two weeks later I woke up with a sharp pain in the same area, with in an hour I couldn't stand up and began vomiting. Went to the ER. they ran a blood test and immediately took me to the OR...My appendix was ready to rupture. If you think you may be having problems with your appendix go right away if it ruptures it can be fatal. It only takes a simple blood test to diagnose, Your white blood count will be very high because of the infection. Hope this helps.

My brother did about 3 years ago. He was having serve lower abdomen pain on the right side of his body ( where the appendix is). He went to the hospital and had surgery to remove his appendix. He has a small scar from it. Please if you think you have it go to the doctor, if your appendix explodes you can die.

My brothers friend had it he had pain in that area......
It had to be removed
