I have read that your thyroid level can be in the "normal" range and still be to low for your body. Does anyone know anything about this? I have talked to my doctor, but am not getting anywhere. The lowest level in his reference range is 0.3, mine is 0.4. Could a thyroid supplement help?

She has had Alzhiemers for several years now...and is now is the in last stage of the disease... my mother whom is the youngest of 8 children promised my grandfather before he died that she wouldn't put her into a nursing home until she absolutly had to. my grandmother has lived with us now for 4-6 months and she has gradually just gotten worse .. and for us its almost like she's more of a burden than anything... and that's a terrible feeling.. well tonight she got out of her bed and stood by the door took off her "brief" and put it in the trash... then proceeded to urinate on the floor in her room... for me this is the last straw... I am 18 weeks pregnant and am in no way emotionally prepared to deal with the many aspects of her disease and my pregnancy as well... so my question is this do u think that putting her in a nursing home is wrong or like breaking the promise we made to my grandpa?

No one knows what I do,not my family, kids,or my husband! They would all hate me and I work so hard to please and take care of them! I take them because they make me keep a clean house quicker and more efficiently,I have tons of energy to play with the kids and knock out daily chores in no time. They make me more social when normally I would make an excuse not to meet new people. Since i have been on them i feel that im in the lime light of the town. But i run out last friday and have been going through horrible side affects! I went to the er,but there are only a couple local clinics, and they were all full!I have to wait to get into 1 2morrow,I feel so bad, almost as if im going to die! What should i do?I finally broke down and told my husband,he is very pissed off at me and disappointed, screaming at me saying i did this my self and i should pay every price that comes with it! I apologized over & over, but its not good enough! Please someone give me some ideas or help!!!

He's been clean one month today. We're in the process of being legally separated. He's begging to come home. Can I believe he can change? He's been going to counseling. I still love him, but I'm afraid nothing will have really changed yet. Am I just being a b?

My husband had surgery last year and is now living with an ileostomy. It's actually given him more of a life and we're happy about it but during the summer months he gets extremely bad heat blisters around the area of the bag. Does anyone have this problem and suggestions on how to help relieve some of the discomfort of them?

my wife recently got bit my a fly of some description and now has a saucer sized welt on her leg.the doc said it was "a normal reaction to an insect bite" which i dont agree with.found out from my chemist that they have issued people with anti biotics with this reaction.the wifes is clearing up slowly with anti allergy tabs.are we 1)becoming more sensative to bites
2)being bitten by foreign/cross bred insects?
3)are the flies and insects harming us with pestacides/chemicals etc they have been exposed to.

im no doctor but to me the normal rection to an insect bite is to swear at it and try to swat it!

anybody out there had similar problems?

Am seeing doctors but am being told to wait and see basically. Vision affected sometimes, very tired eyes, itchy, watering sometimes. I have read up on eye conditions associated with hyperthyroid but would like to hear from anyone with first hand experience.

I have excessive hairloss, and no IM NOT ANOREXIC...well, even when I get it trimmed, my hair is thinning, and I lose hair... yes it's been chemically dyed, and used blowdryers, but haven't dyed my hair for a year, and I haven't blowed dried my hair since last week, I used amonia free, and I never bleached my hair...I'm only 17-years old and I have old lady hair...and When a hairdresser trimmed my hair he was like 'omg' when my hair came out of the sink to wash the hair...it's nerve-wracking, and depressing, I cry about this all the time, I also get suicidal thoughts because I feel....ugly.

I am a 37 year old woman who was just diagnosed with diverticulitis from a "dry" cat scan after having severe lower quadrant abdominal pain. I have read up on the disease over the past couple of days, and have determined that I do not fit the profile- I am under 60 yrs old, eat a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruit, raw vegetables, and whole grains, and I am very regular.

I have had a history of frequent back ache (past year or so)- lower back, along spinal cord, and shoulder/neck area. Occationally I get severe tension headaches from the neck/shoulder pain.

I have no gynocological issues though I have had c-section births.

Any thoughts????

Oh... Also, a few days after the diagnosis, I found out that my refridgerator has not been working properly, my dog was hospitalized with vomitting and diarrea (posible colitis). No one else in my family has been affected.
