I have excessive hairloss, and no IM NOT ANOREXIC...well, even when I get it trimmed, my hair is thinning, and I lose hair... yes it's been chemically dyed, and used blowdryers, but haven't dyed my hair for a year, and I haven't blowed dried my hair since last week, I used amonia free, and I never bleached my hair...I'm only 17-years old and I have old lady hair...and When a hairdresser trimmed my hair he was like 'omg' when my hair came out of the sink to wash the hair...it's nerve-wracking, and depressing, I cry about this all the time, I also get suicidal thoughts because I feel....ugly.

Alopecia is the first thing that came to my mind, which often begins in your childhood, next would be a thyroid problem. Do you have history of autoimmune problems in the family?

Are you on any medications? Either way, you will need to see a dermatologist.

Good Luck!

Thinning hair can be a result of many diseases or conditions. I have thin hair as well, but I have been diagnosed with Thyroid disease as well as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Both of which cause hair loss. You seriously need to go to your GP or an Endocrinologist to find out what is going on. Many conditions manifest themselves in areas of the body that you would not think are related to the condition itself. Get it checked out. I know how you feel, I've been there. Now I am on medication for all of my stuff and it's not falling out anymore. Good Luck!

It could be a thyroid disorder. Definitely talk to your doctor about it. They will be able to help you.
