I am having a Vnus Closure procedure done to my left leg due to bad saphenous vein. They have told me I am going to have a local anesthesia done. The thing I hate is not knowing what to expect from this cause I have only had general anesthesia(completely knocked out) for all my previous surgeries. I am wondering this: am I going to feel anything? Will the needle go in my IV or on my leg where they are going to do this procedure? I hate surgery and always get very uptight before them all. If anyone can shed some light on this to help ease my worries I would greatly appreciate it.

Does anyone remember the Hong Kong flu back in the 50's and if you had it what do you remember? I remember going through a whole roll of TP in 1 hour from runny nose and watering eyes. Never heard of anyone else ever having it.

Sometimes i just cant stop eating and then other times i just eat a little and feel like it was too much so i feel like i might as will go ahead and binge and then get rid of it all. even when there isnt anything i really want to eat I search for things cause i know Im past keeping it in and feel like i might as well eat it all if its going to end up coming up anyway. How do i get rid of the need to eat things that i know will make me fat

Does anyone have any ideas? I can't concentrate or focus on my daily life activities because of this. It frustrates me enough to make me feel like lashing out, & these unwanted, intrusive thoughts are uncontrollable, & the medicine isn't helping.

My boyfriend is HIV positive and this weekend my niece is comming over to spend the weekend. My boyfriend has never had the chicken pox. I have been told that the chicken pox can be fatal for someone who has HIV (and have never had the pox) is this true? I need to know as quick as possible cause my niece is comming over in two days. Should he stay away? or will he be fine? PLEASE HELP!!!

This past March I had what I thought was the Flu for a few days. After a week the symptoms lessened but never went away. After 3-4 weeks of flu like symtoms (achey muscles, fatigue,dizziness, nausea ) I went to see my Doctor.He couldnt find anything, saying it was an "unnamed virus" that was going around lasting 8-12 months! So I went to several other Doctors. They checked for pnuemonia, bronchitis...took blood samples and chest x-rays. And all say the same thing, the "unnamed virus" There's no meds or no cure and it lasts 8-12 months. It's been 4 months without a change. Sidebar note: I've had a chronic(dry) cough for almost a year now (Months before the virus) Can't seem to stop it. Tested for allergies, Sinus infections and more without luck.
Does anyone have or know of anyone who has this unnamed virus? If so any information would be so helpful. I live in a small town in Maine and Specialists are rare here. Any causes, cures or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

i am writing a essay for my english class and i would like feedback on the ethics of individuals in a vegetative state. For example, whether or not they should be taken off of life support or kept on life support. I have been on Tapazole for about 3 years and ever since I started taking it, my skin is looking so much more wrinkled. I have tried to ask the doctor but he just doesn't want to take the time to listen. I need another doctor, but they are getting hard to find. I apprecaite any help. Also does drinking a lot of water really help with the skin?
