What you are describing sounds like a virus. While most stomach viruses do not last more than a day or two, some may last as long as a week.
You can give alternate tylenol/advil to help relieve the achiness and fever, although fever is the body's way of killing infection and bacteria, which might help him get better faster.
The best thing that you can do for him is to make sure he stays hydrated. He needs to drink lots of fluids. It will probably be difficult to eat solid food at first, so it is best to introduce soups and ice creams before regular meals.
If the vomitting continues and he is unable to keep any fluids down, he may become dehydrated. There are phenergan shots/pills/gels/suppositories available by prescription to ease the nausea and stop the vomitting. This would be very beneficial and would bring him relief within a half hour. I would suggest taking him to the doctor for one of these shots.
There is no cure for viral illnesses, so it is best to treat the symptoms until they are resolved. This means rest, fluids, and possibly the phenergan if you take him to the doctor.

Unless your husband has come in contact with a kid who has the stomach flu, it's most likely he has food poisoning, which accounts for the vast majority of stomach bugs in adults. As long as his fever doesn't go too high and he is progressively feeling better instead of worse, he's probably okay. If he gets worse instead of better or has any sharp pain in his abdomen (or had sharp pain before all this started), you need to take him to the ER. Try to get him rehydrated -- he may be able to tolerate sucking on the occasional ice chip. And just keep an eye on him and see how it goes. Hang in there!

Sounds like a stomach virus, sometimes confused with flu. I had a bout with it a few weeks ago, with exactly the same symptoms. After the first 24 hours it started to get better, but my stomach wasn't back to normal for another 2 days after. Make sure he doesn't try to eat any solid food - clear liquids and broth all day.
But if he doesn't start feeling better by tomorrow, he should call a doctor. Good luck!

Sounds like the flu. Give him plenty of fluids, Tylenol or Motrin, and keep an eye on him. If he doesn't start to get better in 48 hours, take him to the doctor. Once he starts to feel better, put him on the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. This diet is best tolerated by people with your husband's symptoms.

That sounds like the flu my husband caught around Thanksgiving a few years ago. We ended up taking him to the emergency room for painkillers, anti-nausea drugs, and a couple of units of saline to rehydrate him.

Probably viral gasto enteritis but you have to rule out Urinary tract infection. @ this time treat hon symptomatically with efficient hydration by giving plenty of gatorade and Paracetamol every 4 hours for fever to prevent complication of high grade fever and severe dehydration. then, seek medical consultation for proper diagnostic procedure like, CBC , urinalysis and stool exam

I have three possible things that I know these symptoms are, the flu, food poisoning, and stomach virus. If continues to not improve/worsen take to doctor.
