What causes a person with End Stage Renal Disease to have severe low blood pressure before dialysis, and after dialysis? There is no other medical evidence of why it runs generally low all the time, ranging from 70/27 etc....even sometimes lower.

I have serious acid reflux, big time, all day every day. I have always believed that beer was one of the good things in life... like beautiful women, Marvin Gaye, summer rain or children laughing. I have recently discovered however, that red wine helps my stomach. Is that weird, or is it in my head? I seem to remember Jesus drinking wine for his stomach, but I was a kid. Is there any scientific reason why? Just wondering...

Thanks-- Waiting to die of stomach cancer

When we have a chronic illness (one that cannot be cured but will still allow us to live a normal lifespan) friends and family want to help. Do they help, or do they frustrate the muggerwumps out of you?

I have had a high level of protein in my urine everytime I go to the doctor and give a sample, and most generally everytime I go I have a UTI also. But the weird thing is, is that I never have any of the symptoms and everyone that I have ever talked to that has had one says that they are very painful. I have had about 7 in the last year, and the protein started showing up when I got pregnant with my daughter last october. They thought that it would go away after she was born....well she will be one in July and I am still having the protein and the UTI's almost everytime. I can almost put money that anytime I am asked to do a UA I will have one and have excess protein at, at least a +3 or higher. I have done several 24 hr urine tests and they always show the high level of protein but no one ever does anything about it. I am becoming increasingly concerned and the doctors are really not doing anything to narrow it down. If anyone has anything that can help me please let me know.

The older doctors could teach and even do research in the world's most populace nation. This would be a win, win situation for a doctor who believes their fellow man is worth a few of his or her good years. It would sure help save a lot of babies and help the world live healthier. And, God would bless them.

I have to get my gallbladder removed. I have read that it is harder to break down fats, and you might get diareah for a while afterwards. I was just wondering if it was more likely to lose weight because of the diareah or gain weight because of not being able to break the fats down a quickly? Are there any other side effects?
