I'm freaking out!! I tried to help a baby sparrow I found in my parking lot. The bird was sleeping and everuthing but after a while it started to jump and couldn't stay still. After touching it and cares it, I found those maggots eating the poor animal alive! Am I going to get sick from this? How long can live a maggot out of a warm, moist habitat ? Seriously!! This is for real...some one jokes around and I report him!

He is 3 & has had the spots for 4 days now. He's completely well in himself just covered in spots.
I've been promising him all week I'd take him for his 1st trip to the cinema to watch Shrek 3.
He's had to watch for the last year while I took his older bro to the cinema desparetely wanting to come with us but hasn't been old enough.
He's been very excited since last weekend about going & now the chicken pox have come on!
Is it wrong to take him?

...educate themselves about HIV/AIDS more? Sorry to rant, but everybody seems to think that you can gets HIV just from kissing!

I'm a sanguinarian, which plainly means that I drink human (NEVER animal) blood from willing donors. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years. I educated myself and found out that--

--you can't get HIV from an infected person by drinking their blood unless you both have large, bleeding mouth wounds;
--kissing never gave anybody HIV;
--sex, transfusions, and dirty needles (and being born with HIV) are the only ways;
--HIV dies almost instantly with contact to open air;
and
--hugging, holding/shaking hands, etc. never gave anyone HIV.

*Yes we practice safety-- no unsterilized blades, and no one donates without blood tests (in case of other infectious diseases)*

So why can't people out there get real, get educated, and stop shying away from infected persons. Give an HIV positive person a hug, I'm sure it will make their day!
Thoughts?

I have been diagnosed with mononucleosis, got the test done on the 21st, but have had swollen glands since about the 14th, how long does it take for the glands to go down, I am also pregnant and am not worried about if it will affect my baby, but it hurts so much I can barely swallow my own saliva. It is extremely painful, is there anything I can do to help the swelling go down, it hurts so much. I can't hardly eat, so I am worried that I will start losing weight and I am sure that would not be good for my baby. I can handle the fatigue and weakness, but I can't drink very much, and it is hard to sleep and my mouth gets dry very easily. I know it can last up to four months and I seriously don't think I can handle much more of the swollen gland.

My Son Was Biten By A Stray Kitten.?
It punctured the heel of his hand. I called his doc and they said he needed another tecnis shot and to take antibiotics for 10 days. Also we have to keep the kitten that he caught for 10 days to watch how it acts before we can give it over to animal control (by the way animal control had been contacted twice to pick up these animals but has never kept their word).
So he had the shot yesterday, today he is in a lot of pain from that arm. Is this normal? I was just checking here because it is so early in the morning and the doc office hasn't opened. So all you that are concerned, don't worry I am calling a professional as soon as I can.
