I became unwell about a month ago . I have had pancreatitis due to what is thought to be gallstones/blocked bile duct. I had all the symptoms, jaundice dark urine and clay coloured stools. These seem to have returned to normal but my doctor says I will require my gallbladder to be removed. My liver at first was showing very abnormal results after my ultrasound I was told I had "loads" of gallstones. I was told that I wouldnt need the endoscopic procedure as the bile duct looked clear but this would depend on further blood tests. I have had the results of those today and my liver is not normal and I will have to have the endoscopic procedure next week plus a MRI? scan. I am worried now as to why after being told my bile duct looked clear on the ultrasound what this may mean.

Cauliflower may contain micro-organisms which enter brain through blood stream and do not get destroyed even by cooking.

Is it possible to be tested to find out if you are a carrier for something... the reason i am asking is that i think i have the flu and i want to find out if i am possibly a carrier of h.flu meningitis... i know that older people and adults can't get it but that kids can and they can even die from it... i work with kids alot and the night before i got sick i worked with alot of young children (newborns to 3 year olds to be exact)... i'm really afraid that i maybe passed something to any of those kids, and i just have this really bad feeling about it... so can i get tested for something like that???

thanks in advance for your advice.

I was wondering if anyone knows, can you catch a cold from using the same telephone as someone who has one? And if so, then what should you do about it?

The bed bug epidemic in urban cities seems to be getting worse. Is there nothing we can do to prevent this from getting out of hand?Should our politicians do more? or should the burden just be on us?

I have been healthy and feeling perfect. Tonight was a friend's birthday at a local restaurant just up the street so I walked. It was nice and warm today so I only took a light coat. Little did I know that the weather changed completely and now its wind gusts between 35 and 50mph (says our local news) and the wind chill is so cold I literally couldnt even talk walking home. Anyway, about 1 hour after getting home I developed a horrible headache and now I feel a sore throat and that sickly feeling you have before you get really sick. I've always learned it was an old wive's tale that cold weather makes you sick- but right now Im starting to believe it. I feel terrible! No one I know is sick. Has anyone else had this happen?

Every time I become tired and exhausted I first get a runny nose, then if I continue to spend effort, I get full blown common cold/flu. I used to be very healthy and only suffer from cold once or twice a year. This is very new to me and I hate it. First time I noticed it is when I drove from Dubai to Riyadh continuously for 10 hours. When I arrived in Riyadh I got sick. More recently, I drove from Riyadh to Dubai, and same thing happened. The third time I noticed it was when I once was in Riyadh, I became exhausted and the symptoms were beginning to show, so I immediately gave myself some rest and the symptoms went away.

Anyone know of anything specifically causing this? I know for the past few months I been some what depressed but I don't think my eating habits have deteriorated by much. I'm still around the same weight I used to be. That is 63-65kg.

I somehow got Strep Throat about two weeks ago. I've never had it before, I'm 18. I went to the doctor and he gave me Penicillin and Vicodin. I didn't take the Vicodin for very long but I took all of my Penicillin. I took my last Penicillin pills about three days ago but my throat stopped hurting about two days after I started taking them. But yesterday my throat started to hurt again. Today it feels exactly the same as it did when the Strep Throat started to develop and my tonsils are red and white. How and why is this happening if I took all of my medicine?
