I don't think anyone has had the flu for 7 years, or they would be dead by now. Maybe she suffers from sleep apnea, where the person stops breathing many times during the night and gasps for air, which is pretty scary to witness. Usually the person is overweight, or breaths better in a different position. Check the internet for sleep apnea if this could be it. Otherwise, a doctor would be helpful.

thats doesnt sound like a flu it soundsmore like allergy....get some allergy tests done on her!

Try an antihistamine from your local chemist....give it to her before the time of day or night when she is really bad....if it makes a difference then you know its not a flu but rather an allergy!!

a 7 yr flu just doesnt make sense....if it was that bad and chronic then the doctors would have had to do some serious tests on her to diagnose the real problem.....if its not an allergy she has then i suggest you get to a different dr who can sort her illness out whatever it is cos your present dr obviously isnt doing a good enough job.....

good luck and hope she gets better soon!
