I was immunized against the flu while pregnant. My daughter is now four weeks old, and someone in the house has the flu. I know my baby's immune system is still weak, but am wondering if the flu vaccine I received carried over to her as well.

My daughter was just vaccinated against mumps 12 days ago. I never had a mumps vaccination as a child because my mother had mumps when she was pregnant with me, so doctors said that I already had a natural immunity to the disease.

I woke up today and my face is slightly swollen under the jaw and around the chin.

I have also heard that the strain is difficult to reverse. I live in Minnesota, and a cab driver told me of this. He said it was brought here by Somolian immigrants. He was livid.

i got scratches from my dog two weeks ago before he was diagnosed of rabies...but at first i just thought it was just a simple case of poisoning that causes his seizures, so i still kept my dog until yesterday just after another petit seizure attack he's disoriented and jumped off from my fifth floor apartment...it was too late. is it possible that i'm infected even though he licked my face just the day before he died? is it possible that rabies can transfer to humans even before he manifest the early symptoms (like i got scratches two weeks before the symptoms)?

I have had this infection (I think it is fungal) for about 15 years it has never been treated both my big toes are about 1cm thick and i have 5 other toes affected (only 1 as bad) It doesnt really hurt but is very unsightly. I know the creams and varnish type cures will not work on my toes.

I have had 8 eye doc appts. And this is the 3rd time I've taken Vigamox since the initial infection 2 months ago. The first time I took Vigamox was for 5 days and an eye doc cleared me upon visual examination. The infection came back. The next course of Vigamox was for 8 days. Once again all symptoms seemed to be gone. But it came back again. This is my 3rd time on Vigamox, and once again the acute symptoms seem to disappear very quickly. But I am still nervous. Please help! And please be specific with any suggestions. I am on here because obviously doctors have not been able to help me! I am concerned.

below are my previous question details. What I really want to know is should I be concerned? At times I am not even aware of the problem but it is becoming increasingly difficult to eat. I am noticing problems on my left side. but nothing major. I do think the body can heal itself and I don't want to seem paranoid. Should I seek medical attention or wait a while??

"I cut myself preparing Valentine's Day flowers at a florist and recieved 3 stiches. I did get a Tetanus vaccine at the ER.

3 days later I had problems eating from a stiff/painfull jaw. This problem is intermitant in severity but always present and eating seams to be a problem.

The injection site is still painfull a week later. and my eye is twitching occasionally.... Are these normal after a tetanus shot?

Thank you... "

system if he is a carrier of viral infections. My son and I keep getting viral infections in which antibiotics have no affect on. My question is do you think it is possible or do you know for sure that he could be the reason we keep getting sick?

I havnt been about to swallow comfortably for over a week. A bout an hour after I get to sleep I have to wake up and go to the sink because I have phelgm build up and it is so uncomfortable, and it hurts to cough and spit it. I also have the feeling like my tonsils are covered in sand-paper. They dont look all that inflamed or red. Also, with the phlegm, there is alot of mucus build up and (disgustingly) I blow it out of my nose but it is also dripping to the back of my throat, causing me to spit more. I havent been able to go the doctor, but does it should like an infection that needs antibiotics? I dont think I should go to the doctor if it just sounds a virus and will pass.

Why is it if you get the flu or a wicked cold, it gives you body odor and puts that funky "sick room" smell in your room, despite the fact you are bathing regularly?
