It's a herpes virus so you can't do anything to affect the course of it. It is highly contagious though usually about 1 -2 days before you see the pox breakout. Sneezing, coughing and touching the blisters can spread it and will show up about 10 - 21 days after exposure. It takes 5 - 10 days to clear up once the rash appears. Sorry hon! You're going to have to wait it out.

YOu dont... it normally takes a 10day course to completely go away... nothing can speed that up. sorry.. and to make matters worse.. I have a son that is extremely rare.. he has had 3 outbreaks.. YES.. 3.. the doctors say this is extremely rare.. but luckily the 2nd two have been milder and the doctor says each episode in these cases are milder. but thats no relief to my itchy infectious child who has to stay out of school for 10days.. My daughter on the other hand (she is younger) got the benefit of the new chicken pox immuniation.. and she hasnt caught it (yet,, and I mean yet).. though she has been exposed many times.. The docter says the injection doesnt prevent it totally, but makes it so its milder if and when they do get it.. Hopefully she wont.. I dont want another child with 3 bouts of this.. its hell.. .. I just plop them in the tub with aveeno bath soap and enough toys and allow them to remain in the tub with an inch of water till they get prune skin.. hahaha!
