Welcome to the RA club! I have had it since i was 19, i am 27 now. I have been on Metho for a while and you do NOT want to drink while taking it! Also becareful the metho may make your tummy upset and you really tired! Best of luck with everything!

I would not recommend it, I have a list of drugs to take and not to take and the adverse effects are nausea, vommitng stomach bleeding ucers etc., are you considering taking your own prescription? I will review drug interactions and write back wait one minute, please wait! I can send you the page on which I am reading, do you have a cell phone or a gmail account? It also says to take caution when taking large amounts of methotrexate or mixing it with other drugs, because it can cause a bloody bowl movment!

Please you do not want to risk drinking while on Metho. Actually you should never drink while on any medication.
One of the adverse reactions for Metho is Hepatotoxicity. ( Liver failure) This is also an effect of alcohol. So its ouble the risks.
Other side effects of metho.
Nephrotoxicity
Anemia.
Immunosuppression.
You should also avoid Over the counter meds like Steroids.
You should not start it if you have abused alcohol before, or had lifer infections before.
Use with caution if you have Peptic ulcer disease.
