please explain why we have nothing to fear from all the "blood-sucking" critters, bugs, insects, ect. around us. One must consider all of the mosquitos, flies, ticts, and countless other "no see-um 's" co-existing with us, in this great animal kingdom. It only seems like comon sense that they should be studied more indepth. These unsanitized, nasty carriers worry me far more that the druggy on the corner. Am I the only one losing sleep over this??

Hi all

Its been 3 weeks since i've had my Chicken Pox...and although the Pox have gone...i have red marks where they use to be on my face (forehead cheekbones)...do you know how long it takes for them to compleatly go away...I don't think i've scrached them, but if i have what can i do ... :-(

was trying to make mac-cheese but realized I didnt have any milk. I noticed a very old can of pet evaporated milk in my cuboard so I opened it up and took a swig. It was horrible and sour. Then to my horror...I noticed the can said 1996(not an expiration date but just on the label somewhere.

1. Do can goods spoil at some point?
2. Will I get e-coli or somethin?

HIV.....I am in the medical field and am always interested in knowing more about patients. What finally got you to a doctor for your test? Did you have symptoms or was it just a test that you had and didn't expect the result? I know all the articles everywhere to read but it is different than really talking to someone that is living wtih it.
My mom had brain cancer and no other illness. It was primary. We knew before the MRI that she was possibly facing something pretty drastic so when the DX came we really weren't "shocked" so much.....sad yes, but not shocked. I shared with her and to others what we went thru so others could learn. Do you go to a support group?
Guess that is what I want to know the real you......the real symptoms....time frame...lifestyle.....If this is too personal to share on here then I totally understand.......this subject is personal, not that I will know you but well you know what I mean...its not like sharing my moms cancer....thanks

My daughter, 16, has had a swollen gland that keep recuring every 1-2 months. If we don't have it treated with antibiotics right away,it will affect her tonsils. It has done that two times and she DOES NOT want those tonsils taken out..lol Today I took her to the doc with a swollen gland again~no fever, no other symptoms, a little sore throat. He reccomends a CT SCAN?? I freaked out. I took her to the hospital, we agreed to have it done until we read about the side effects of the dye they use. My daughter was in tears. I mean I had lots of bouts of swollen glands as a kid and never once needed a CT scan. The doc said he was looking for an absess NOT any kind of cancer. But as my pharmasist said, wouldn't an absess to treated by antibiotics anyway??? My daughter and I are confused. What should we do?????
