It will take another couple of weeks. My son had the pox last year and he has some red ones I thought were never going to go away but the did.

Everyone heals differently, with some people the pox marks go away completely, and others they never totally go away. I have two pox marks on my chest I got forty plus years ago, but I was quite young when I had chicken pox. That uncontrollable itch when you're little you usually don't realize you're scratching it. Normally the red will fade, but if you have any scar tissue that may not go away. Time will only tell if you will have any permanent pox marks.

Consult a dermatologist. S/he should be able to tell the type and depth of scarring and give you a more accurate prediction and remedy... The variety of skin types out there; of scars depending on the impact on skin and how it healed (bump, direction of tissue); and of other factors like exposure to the sun or use of moisturizers are things that make people scar differently.

If you didn't scratch them they will most likely go away in a couple of weeks/months. If you did scratch then you have them for life, but they fade and become less visible over time.

depends on how deep the scarring is.....my son had them 8 yrs ago and still has the pitted scars on his forehead...so sometimes they never go away

as long as you have not scratched them they will eventually disappear, but if you have you will always have a scar.
