Please be more specific wih you question. Although from what I understand, you are asking if anti-tuberculosis medication can cause hepatitis. Am I right? The answer is yes. It is called drug induced hepatitis and it is not just caused by anti-TB meds but a long list of medications. For anti-TB meds, isoniazid and rifampicin are notoriuos for causing drug induced hepatitis. With regards to cure, stopping the medication will usually return you ALT and AST back to normal in a couple of weeks. Silymarin is not the cure but it is just a suppliment that will suport the liver. You can take it if you like but it will just add to you medical expenses.

I'm guessing like the rest that you are being treated for either a Positive PPD skin test or TB.
The meds Isoniazid can cause chemically induced hepatitis.
You should be monitored during your treatment and also your M.D. may add VitAMIN B12.
See your M.D.
