My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 years, he was previously married for 12 years, he's been divorced for the past 4 years. We recenly found out that his x- is hiv+. We were both tested - for the virus, is there any need for concern still?

i was bitten 2 days ago. today it is very swollen. it feels warm, stiff and pain when press hard against it and mild pain when putting weight on it. it feels numb also. i've never had one this bad before. there's a total of 4 bite/sting marks. 2 in the area where it's swollen and 2 in some other area. i also have no idea what sting/bit me. i will be going to see the dermatologist tomorrow morning but want to know what can i do for now. i tried using a type of ointment for it but it didn't work. i'm not even sure if i should wash it often or not. any help will be appreciated. i also showed it to my instructor who is a RN for 20 years and she said if the swelling doesn't decrease i have to go to the ER (no insurance for ER). again, any help will be appreciated. thanks

I understand that once you are infected with mononucleosis, the virus stays with you for life. Does that mean I can infect anyone that I kiss or shares utensils or drink out of same cup???? I got mono about 6 years ago and after suffering through several months, have not had any outbreaks. I used to have these pimple like stuff show up on my forehead where I was kissed by someone infected but it stopped showing up several years ago.

And will I be able to donate blood even though I have mono?

Hello

I recently went to a medical lab and they drew some blood from me for some tests. The thing that is worrying me is that I wasnt paying attention to the nurse when she got the needle so I dont know if she used a new or reused an old needle by mistake/

My question is, can these needles be reused or are they designed for one time use only?? I am afraid of contracting any blood disease from this incident

I have a boil like spot on the bottom of my buttcheek and on side of my leg. The doctor didnt even examine the spots and just put me on a sulfur antibiotic. He didnt tell me anything to do to stop the pain. It hurts so bad I can barely walk and I dont know what to do for the pain. He also said dont pop it and its got a white head on it, its hard not too. I was also wondering if you know how long it will take the antibiotics to make them go away.

I recently took a job working as an instructor at a school for adults who have autism and/or mental retardation. They offer the vaccine for free and recommend getting it, but I'm concerned about side effects. Has anyone had an adverse reaction?
