I am 5' 7" and weight 264 pounds. I don't drink or smoke. I had open heart surgery two years ago for a 6 way bypass and I am an insulin dependent diabetic. So how long do you think I might live?

It's been happening for a couple days. Here is a estimate heartbeat that is the pattern I feel. I know teens have heart palpitations sometimes and it's normal, I sometimes get one, like once a few weeks, but I don't think what I'm feeling is normal...it's happens when mostly when I'm sitting or laying down, or crouching. It doesn't happen all the time, sometimes I won't feel it the whole day but other times I'll feel it every 10 min. Here's the pattern in a shortened version. Every line is a heart beat:

l---l--ll-l-l-ll--l--ll---l---l

Every double heart beat feels like a flutter, it's weird feeling that I can't describe. Sometimes this pattern will happen once, or it will keep going for a couple minutes. Please help. It will flutter, and then it's at a faster rate. Then it will flutter again, then a slower rate, then it will flutter, and go back to normal. Remember, I'm 14.

Everytime I wake up from a nap or a night of sleep, my heart is beating extremely fast, faster than after I run or excersise. I asked my doctor about it but he said nothing's wrong, and that I just have alot of stress (but this is also the guy who trys to get people out of his office as fast as he can). I can't think of anything that might do this to my heart. And it's not just after I wake up, it's also when I'm just sitting down, or doing some normal activity. I'm 16 and I never had heart problems before.

Obviously I wasn't specific enough in my question so will re-phrase it.
Is there any evidence from direct measurements of total flow and mean pressure at the aortic valve, that the quotient of pressure over flow increases with the aging process?

I haven't been feeling very well lately. I did start taking Vitamin D a short while ago and since I also take several medications, I was wondering if maybe the vitamin was causing me to be unwell. I take high blood pressure meds, also cholesterol, thyroid, beta blockers, diabetic medication. Thanks for your help.

About a few weeks ago my Grandma found out that she has Congestive Heart failure. The doctor gave her some medication and told her that it was nothing serious. I believe that nothing bad will happen to her, but my mom is extreamly worried about her, she thinks something bad is gonna happen to my grandma. My grandma takes her medication. Her blood pressure is good, but her ankles swell up a bit from time to time. Is this anything serious that my mom has to panic about? I'm trying to tell her that everything is gonna be fine but she doesn't believe me. What can I tell my mom to convince her that my grandma will be alright? This all started when my mom's sister told her that someone she knew had congestive heart failure and died because he never took his meds. But I know that my grandma will be ok. The doctor even said she would still live for a very long time. Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For about three years, I would go on a binge of about two months on and 4-6 months off. The two months on would be almost every day, about 1/3 of a gram a day give or take. For the first couple years all was fine, then lately I began to feel like crap. Sometimes my chest feels tight, brain feels heavy, or theres a little sharp pain behind my sternum. It doesn't feel like my heart but it's the same area and that can't be good. Lungs perhaps? but anyway...

I didn't do it for the last 7 months, then I did just a little the other day. I felt like crap, and said the heck with this. I don't want to die or damage my body. I definitely feel better as the days go on and that 7 month mark gets longer.

I am 28 and pretty healthy. Is it possible I damaged something? Is there a medicine or vitamin I can take to help my body? Should I go to the doctor and get an MRI or cat-scan for more details, or am I young enough that quitting should fix me? thanks
