I have had heart palpitations for years and they never bothered me. Within the last year or so they seem to have got worse. I feel slightly grogy and dizzy after them. I also can get slight chest pain. I also get slight chain pain and grogyness if a do a lot of exercise.
I have seen a heart consutant who has carried out no less than 6 tests so far: ECG, blood test, chest X ray, heart echo, treadmill test and 24 hour heart monitor. He can find nothing wrong with any of the tests.
I do suffer from a little anxiety so I'm wondering if these feelings are just put down to anxiety.
I've recently lost a stone in weight so I feel I lot better in myself but still get these palpitations and problems.
Would anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.
Andy

I am hypothyroid. My TSH was discovered very high at 180. I am now on 150mg thyroxine daily but TSH is still too high at 19. The past few days I have been having very bad palpitations and today have felt sick all day(just got my period though so coul be due to that. Also have high BP but on medication and is about 130/80. Is it my thyroid causing these problems?

If this is too much to read skip to the bottom my question is there. But the following story gives some background.

Okay 4 years ago my mom went to the cardiologist to find out why she has a heart murmor. They did and ECG and discovered she had a "bi cuspid aeortic valve". We were told its not a big deal that she would just have to take an antibiotic before going to the dentist and really didnt have any other effect on her life.
Now 2 months ago she had the flu. After she recovered from that she realized how much weaker, and easily out of breath she was getting. She also started feeling her heart "go flip flop". I told her to go to the doctor because of her heart.
They did and EKG and imediately sent her to the cardiologist for and ECG. He told her that her valve was "thickened" and needed replaceing soon. So she now has an appt with a cardiovasculer surgeon in 2 weeks.

My question is : What things she we ask or make sure we are aware of before the surgery?

Lately, I've had high blood pressure, usually around 135/85 when resting and sometimes as low as 123/72. Tonight, I have BP at 159/96 and I just took 2mg Xanax, which is prescribed to me for anxiety so I'm pretty chilled out. Besides anxiety, what could be elevating my blood pressure?

My blood pressure is about 155/78 sometimes higher sometimes lower and I am only 24. I work out 4 days a week cardio and weight lift. I try to watch what I eat and usually eat somewhat healthy even though I drink alot of caffeine. Is this a serious health risk even though I work out as much as I do? Am I at risk of getting a heart attack later on in life if this continues? Somebody with medical experience please help!

I suffer from low blood presurre (90/60)as well as from arithmia. Hot weather makes it much worse. I was told that drinking lots of water or even salted water can help. It helps indeed but it isn't sufficient. I will be glad for any advice.

i am using an online blood pressure diary to log my test results..since it is being more helpful me, i am taking printouts and mail reports to my physician..and my doctor wanted too..

its now i am seems feeling great..my point here is that...is this one is okay?... and/or any other better solution to me...

i m using it online and i am not worrying 'data backups' and 'data loss' or 'system crash'..i can move freely anywhere i can get access and take printouts my reports from everywhere...my data can be more secured, i am using my own password to look my reports..

i am using my bp diary as free..they aren't charge me anything..

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people who responded to my last question.Your answers were very helpful.Just to recap I'm a 43 year old Brit living in Japan married to a local lady with three young daughters.Last year I was diagnosed with bicuspid aortic valve by chance. My mean pressure gradient was 28mm and at another hospital 22mm. My valve area was 2.3cms.This year soon after having a very heavy meal the echo gave a reading of 37mm and 32mm.I'm going to another hospital to have a transoesophageal echo in June.I feel terrified that that my pressure gradient increased so much. The doctor said not to worry as I have no symptoms, stenosis or regurgitation but I'm afraid to say I still have sleepless nights.Last year the doctor said weight training, yoga and running was ok but now nothing is allowed.Would having an echo directly after eating a heavy meal cause this increase or is it due to my exercises. The doctor said Japan is quite medically advanced but I'm very down.

I'm only 25 but I've been feeling alot of stress this week. I've been having heart palpatations and a "heavy" or "tension" feeling in my chest, upper back, and left shoulder, and sometimes upper left arm as well. I've been trying to relax. also sometimes when I breathe my chest feels a little tight or constricted.

How serious are these symptoms? They are not quite as bad as they were yesterday. Should I just try some exercise today?
