I had heart oplation five years ago for svt. It has now come back along with ectpoic heartbeats. I am struggling on the medication and even though it is controling the svt i am still struggling with milder ectpoic heart beats. Tightness of the chest and closing of the throat are all now symptoms i am now having. When ever i go to the doctors my ecg is coming back normal as the attacks have ceased. Is there anyone eles out there that could help me information on these things as after 10 years i am ready to trade myself in.

I went to the emergency room tonight because it felt like my heart was beating so hard, sort of like it was going to beat right out of my chest. I have a long history of PAT also. I have a burning sensation in my right arm. I am taking medication but sometimes it helps and other times has no effect. I was sitting in that waiting room for close to 4 hours, without being seen, so I got so fed up I left and went home. I plan on going to a different hospital if I feel any worse, but I was wondering if you could tell me what it means when your heart is pounding really hard and there's a burning sensation in your right arm. Thanks in advance!

I am eighteen years old. I've been getting (for lack of a better descripstion) chest spasm for the last year. They are usually quick, sharp pains through the upper chest and leave within minutes. During my last month of school, one day they became much more. I could hardly breathe, I nearly collapsed, my chest was tightenting and the pain was shooting through my chest without any pause. For some odd reason, the nurse measure my blood pressure. It was 145/118. I didn't know anything about blood pressure, but an hour later when she sent me to class, a teacher asked what she'd done and expressed concern over the numbers.

Since then, it hasn't gotten that bad. I still get the chest spasms, but they're like they were to begin with. I'm wondering if I should go to a doctor, though.

i was prescribed toprol xl 25mg for palpitations related to anxiety my dr said he wants me to take it for a month then we will see how i am if its not fine then hes going to send me to a different cardiologist .over the last few months at my local hospital before i had insurance i had several ekgs,chest xray,echocardiogram,and heart stress test and everything came back fine..my question is i read that if the med is suddenly stopped it could worsen your condition or even cause heart attack..should i be worried about stopping it after a month considering im 21 male and my heart is supposivly healthy and its a low dosage.

I had to go in emergency today due to abdominal pain, and they had my ECG, and had given me my ECG report to show my family doctor. I'm planning to see my family doctor tomorrow, my ECG report says:
* Sinus Tachycardia with short pr interval
* Abnormal Rhythm ECG

Does anyone know what that means?

A week ago my mom passed away very suddenly. We did not do an autopsy as we know she died of natural causes. But the family is wondering wether it was a heart attack or something else such as a massive stroke, heat stroke, or an anyurism.
The facts:
She had been out in the garden weeding for most of the day. The weather was 95 degrees and humidity was high. She came in around 6 pm and said she was tired and had a heartburn so she took some antacids and went to lay down. at 6:30 she got up and said she felt better. At 7 pm the lights went out due to a thunderstorm. While the lights were out she lost her bowels. She agreed to go to the ER, but wanted to shower first due to being soiled from losing her bowels. They came on at 7:30. She then took and shower and dressed herself. The neighbor came to take her to the ER. She got in the car and buckled her seat belt. Immediately she passed out. She was breating with a pulse for about 5 min. before dying.
What caused her death?
