Fish, especially oily fish, is rich in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Research has established a link between eating fish and a lowered risk of death from coronary heart disease. The American Heart Association recommends that you eat at least two servings of fish each week. (One serving equals about 3 ounces cooked, or a serving about the size of a checkbook).
Examples of fish relatively high in omega-3 fatty acids include salmon, trout and herring.
Grill, bake or poach fish. Limit commercially fried fish and don’t add cream sauces.
Prepare fish without added saturated and trans fat.

Your body produces approximately 70% of your cholesterol. If you increase dietry cholesterol, then your body will produce less, and if you eat less it produce more.
In any case, you can't measure blood cholesterol, what is being measured is a Lipoprotein.
A Lipoprotein is not cholesterol
Lipoprotein is not a lipid.
Cholesterol is not a lipid.
They are all totaly different, and one is never made into or from the other.

Meats very low in fat. That's fish (but not shrimp), white-meat chicken cuts like the breast, turkey, and pork tenderloin.
The ones to avoid are beef and lamb, which can raise your level of 'bad' cholesterol because they're so high in fat.

Lamb is good... basically the Mediteranean diet is good (high in the omega 3's and 6's which lower cholesterol).

No meat is good for you. Chicken is healthy, and fish is the best. Fish oil is good for your system.
