response to nurse on awswer:
You MAY HAVE congestive heart failure. This is how THAT works: "Heart failure occurs when your heart muscle doesn't contract hard enough to pump as much blood as the body needs. "Failure" doesn't mean that the heart isn't pumping at all, just that it is failing to pump as well as it should. When the heart muscle has been damaged by long-term high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, a heart attack, or other conditions (such as injury or infection of the heart muscle), it is harder for the heart to pump blood.
Heart failure most often results when the left ventricle has been damaged. The left ventricle is the heart chamber that pumps blood out to the body. When the left ventricle is damaged (by a heart attack, for example), the weakened muscle doesn't have the strength to pump enough blood out. Blood left behind in the heart ventricle takes up space needed for incoming blood from the lungs. Yeh, got fluid everywhere etc. did too much diovon cause it?

When I checked my blood pressure on a machine at Wal-mart my systolic (top number) was very high at around 151 to 154 and my bottom number was around 80. I took it on the machine 3 times and it dropped each time. This bothered me as I was exremeley nervous when I took it so I went to my grandmotrhers and she and I both checked it manually and the top number was 130 to 134. Could the machine be that far off? Is manual the better way to go when checking blood pressure?

I'm currently having a bout of Atrial Fibrillation, I've been seen for it before, even had my heart jump started witth the paddles to even out the rythem. My question is, should I get seen for it again, or just let it go?
There's really not much they can do except give 'ol sparky again, and I've heard you can only have that done so many times before it stops working.

I started taking evening primrose and multi-vitamins together for 1 week. And for whole of that week i felt giddy, and doc measured that i've got high blood. I stopped the supplements for 3 days and giddyness stopped. then when I took back both supplements again, and measured my blood pressure again, it was 155/90! then i stopped for 1 week and my blood pressure now hovers around 135/77 to 142/82. Any relations?

I recently got diagnosed with slightly high blood pressure and unfortunately am pretty young to have this issue. My primary care doctor prescribed only a water pill, instead of a highblood pressure pill. What is it about the "water pill" that lowers blood pressure? Within a week of taking the water pill my blood pressure was back to perfect. :)

I was having a conversation with my boyfriend, when he told me his face had 'fallen asleep'. I've never heard of this before, and I'm a little worried. Now he says it's not only in his face now, but its the same way on his left arm. Should I be worried about something being wrong with his heart? Other than his face and his arm, nothing else seems to be wrong...

Ok..For about a month and a half i have been experiencing pain in the left side of my chest (localized..somewhat sharp pain). Also pain sometimes down my left arm (sometimes like muscle pain..sometimes like joint pain) and shoulder..I am 23 years old...Don't smoke, don't drink..I have an athletic build...I have had 2EKGs, both normal ( i have an usual BP around 11.5-6 and HR of 54-62) and also I had my heart checked by a cardiologist (the doc said there's no sign of any trouble with my heart). Could it be spine problems? ..or something else? My blood tests were also perfect.
