I know cases, where patients after going 3 CABG operations still smoke, if anything symptom they head for the ER, and have their problem sorted out.
As my hospital is on the beach they are seen smoking, lying , gossiping, etc.
Most of them are fish eaters, since generations, and they have prawn party too!!!!!
It is something to do with genes?hereditary? strong will power? a will to survive with happiness.
One of my patient who an a splinter 15 days after AMI he ran for 1/2 hours and that too on a bridge, on asking him he replied, I preferred to go on a do or die as I cannot live the life of a crippled person!! now I am ready for anything.
