My pressure was 130/90. I am a 36 year old female. I have had mild arm/leg pain, fatigue, lightheadedness. I had an EKG and the doctor said it was normal. What could this be?

I think your doctor is correct, you should consult a gynaecologist too.
Initial reading is not conclusive can be due to stress OK.

your blood pressure is high. A quick blood test would have ruled out a heart attack or rather given evidence that you had actually had one. A resting EKG is really pretty worthless, to verify it wasn't your heart a full stress test would have been more useful.

The things to check on your own are:

Do you feel better or worse when you walk around or climb stairs. If you feel worse doing these things then I would start rewondering about the heart. If not then the heart is probably not the problem.

Do you have any type of cough or difficulty taking deep breaths? If you do then you start to narrow your focus down to your lungs... could be bronchitous... could be adult onset asthma... could be lots of things really.

Does laying down in any particular way make the pain greater or lesson it? Some times gallstones can cause those symptoms and some people don't realize that pain from gallstones can appear outside the actual area of the gallbladder.... if that were the case then laying down would likely make the symptoms worse or than standing up. If you feel better standing then it could be gallstones.

The slightly high blood pressure is probably due to the stress your under from having a mystery pain. Not much to worry about at the moment on that one.

All in all there are just too many things that could be causing it. Could even be something as simple as a virus you picked up, or just stress related. Either way until you know what it is and get it fixed take an aspirin a day just in case it is your heart.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

Having an greater suitable blood rigidity in case you're under pressure is customary. i'd guess your blood rigidity is in a classic selection each and every time you spot your primary practitioner or he would have finished some thing approximately it. once you tell him this BP became for the duration of a time of rigidity, he will without delay decrease cost the reading on the grounds that's what your physique does while under pressure - your BP is going up. you're unlikely to drop lifeless from remoted greater suitable blood rigidity readings. if your primary practitioner does not think of BP meds are proper in the present day, you may desire to discover different methods of handling rigidity. perhaps it would be time to start an exercising application, eat much less salt and prepare some rigidity lowering activities.

Your symptoms are of someone possibly having a heart attack. Obviously, if you have had these symptoms for 6 days it might be something else.

Go see another Doctor immediately!!
Get a second opinion, and then when you are with the Doctor describe all the symptoms and ask questions!

People tend to be intimidated by Doctors.
They are human, and they make mistakes.

On the other hand, you need to be honest with yourself.
Are you a hypochondriac? Are you exaggerating your symptoms?

Why are you asking for medical advise on a web site from people that have no medical expertise?

Good Luck!

It could be a number of things. The first thing to come to mind is that you're not sleeping well. If you are then it could be anything from brain cancer to a spinal tumor. You should really get a second opinion and have a complete work up, maybe even a mri. It sounds as if your heart is fine, and while the b.p. is borderline it would not be causing the symptoms you have.

hmm your symptoms (can't spell) do seem to resemble a heart attack but i can't say as i'm no Doc, hmm go back to the docters and don't take no for an answer, make sure he listens, i would suggest you go up hospital, i mean it's been happening for 6 days now, that's not right, also it could be fluid build up, or you could have alot of flem stuff inside your lungs, whether that's do to having a cold or other reasons, but pains in your chests aren't right and your docter should be doing his job correctly so you should go back there TODAY ASAP and get it checked out if he turns you away go up the hospital in A and E and tell them, docters can be very impatiant sometimes and just want you to get out the door as fast as possible, i suggest you go A and E,

it doesn't sound right, please go up A and E again or ring the NHS direct, there number is 0845647 RING THIS NOW and see what they have to say ok i hope this helps! ^_^

i'd say for your age its a little high. mine was 145/95 normal is a lot lower. i had no symptoms like you except headaches. the doctor usually takes several readings before they put you on medication. you were probably a little stressed when you went in so it may be up because of that.

This sounds like a stress related condition, please return to the doctor and insist on more tests before this damages your body physically and permanently.
