This seems very silly but, if you experience lots of fright, anxiety, mental health problems and heart problems, can watching a horror movie at a theater, or at home , cause your problems to get worse or possibly lead you into an anxiety/panic attack and even heart attack?

Can a horror movie be a source of stress?

It's not like our bodies can tell real danger from fake danger, the same hormones I'm sure get released.

I have been schelduled to have prostate biopsy done next week and I truely fear intrusions of any kind . Three years ago I had a slight congestive heart failure and I am taking meds for high blood pressure/cholesterol.I am a MARINE viet-Nam veteran and tense-up when expecting pain or the unknown. Iam quick to become apprehensive about side effects... Thanks for any assuring comments.

I was born with a murmur and the doctor told my parents it would go away on it's own and it hasn't.

I've recently had really sharp pains that would go away after 10 mintues or so. I'm only 21 by the way.

Who can I see for this? Can my regular doctor refer me to a specialist so I can get it checked out? Thanks!

A patient asked me this question today. Her study showed that her height was 24" and her weight was 60 pounds. She is 61" and 115 pounds. She wondered if the results of an echocardiogram are in any way based on these values. I thought that any flow or valve patency issues would not be, but I don't know about chamber size or wall thickness.

Are there any experts out there who can shed some light on this for us?

Thanks for the help.

nurse and doc says it have it. i don't trust the medical industry. i want the word from some real blokes who know what they have experienced. not bookish lab rats who are clearly repulsed by the likes of me -- a plain fisherman.
