Sure. What you don't want is ABNORMAL clots, which form usually from static blood such as an atrial valve prolapse or a deep venous thrombosis...these can cause really large clots (you'd be surprised how big) and pieces can break off and go to the brain or lung and you can die...but this is very rare in a 13 year old unless you have some congenital situation.

Yes one can get blood clot at a tender age as 13.
However, at a tender age, the body has natural body mechanisms that can break blood clots quickly and easily than in some adults. Even so, yes it is possible to get clot at 13.
Blood clots could unfortunately break away from open cuts and wounds and travel freely round the body.
The problem arises when they get caught up in small arteries and arterioles supplying important organs of the human body, e.g., in the brain, the heart, the lungs, etc, cutting blood supply to these vital organs and parts.

However, young age with blood clot points to a higher possibility of an underlying diagnosis such as lupus, cancer, or a clotting disorder.
