I was diagnosed with very mild MVP 2 years ago. Recently i've been very dizzy and and even had an episode of complete confusion and disorientation the other day. Could these symptoms be related to the prolapse.?

some meds for blood pressure will cause congestive heart desease. shouldn't you know this from the start and shouldn't you have the right to decide for yourself?

Are YOU aware that there is not even ONE, NOT EVEN ONE, randomized tightly controlled CLINICAL (the MOST reliable by far) ( This NOT epidemiological nonsense or Prospective Trials) CLINICAL trial that has ever shown ANY REDUCTION AT ALL in Coronary Heart Disease mortality from the use of saturated fat restricted diets?????????????????

My father was checked into the hospital thirty minutes ago. For days he had been complaining of heartburn and pressure on his chest. Some of the symptoms he described have been diziness, a leadened feeling in his right arm, difficulty breathing etc. So while my mother goes to the hospital to pick him up, I'd like to know if this sounds like heart problems. I mean, he's only thirty-nine years old. My family DOES have a history of heart problems, but not until a much later age. The docs in the ER say that they can't find anything irregular with him, even though the symptoms all still persist. Until they can do bloodwork, they say, they can't be sure.

Does this sound like a mild heart attack, or is it just me?

After coming home from a very stressful day at work, my blood pressure can be as high as 168/115. Is this something I should be concerned about/
I mentioned this to my doctor but when he measures it, its only as high as 140/95. I also start the day with it around 120/85
I'm 47,I dont smoke, dont drink, not over weight, play 5+ hours of raquetball a week and consider myself to be healthy.
Should I be worred about having a stroke?
Thanks

My Gf has told me about for about 1 week now that my heart sounds different. She said it "sounded stronger when it pumped". I didn't think anything of it, however this morning i woked up and i could hear my heart pumping and it was making this funny noise every time it pumped. The only different thing this morning is that I have a nasty cold. I don't know if that makes a difference. What is it??

My husband is 31 yrs old and has recently seen a cardiologist about " him being very aware of his heart beat." He was in the ER, had an EKG and they just told him to stay away from caffeine. I am not sure what is going on, and just wanted to know if anyone ever experienced this before and/or has any idea of what it could be related to. His heart does not beat faster, but it was determined it was a possible AV block in the first degree, meaning the heart was "skipping a beat" Of course, this is a scary situation, but I just wanted some input to see if anyone else experienced this. He has further tests scheduled for after the holiday, an echocardiogram, a stress test and a holter monitor. His bloodwork all came back good, and the only other test the doc suggested was a lyme disease test, and I am not sure why? So any information that could help me, at least have a little peace of mind until further tests are done would be great.

My son has recently been diagnosed with WPW and is having a really tough time with recurrent episodes of SVT coupled with a resistance to 1st line drug Adenosine.

He has been in hospital for a week receiving Flecainite and propranolol but still has episodes. Cardio Doctor says he has never had a patient with such resistance and has consulted an electrophysiologist and they both agree on the current treatment as it converts to sinus rhythym everytime.

But it is not a cure and when we tried this as an outpatient my son vomited and experienced an 18hr SVT at 240pbm while we tried to administer the dosages. Hence he is back in hospital now.

My question is : Where can i find a hospital that specializes in heart ablation for infants. In Singapore presently but they dont have the facilities for infants. I'm Australian and would prefer there but cannot locate such an offering. Will look harder on google etc but thought I would try this as an added iron in the fire. HELP

I have tried researching it online but have been unsuccessful. I am hoping there is a pharmacist or doctor or student in one of these areas who knows. You don't have to be one of these. I just want to know why.
P.S. Don't leave dumb answers please.
