I have been laying in bed propped up on a pillow for several hours..I started having a weird sharp pain underneath my right shoulder blade that seem to go through my chest.I wasn't breathless or nauseated or dizzy or anything just hurt for a few minutes and quit and then came back. and then I changed position layed sideways on my heart side and it stopped. My right arm which I use for clicking on the mouse felt like it was full of blood but not really uncomfortable.I checked my pulse and it was never over 85 but I had eaten not to long before. It soon went down to 76 and has pretty much stayed that way.I got up several times and walked around and now its not really bothering me .I just wondered that it says under heart attack or stroke you can have back pain ..Did I have a heart attack and not know it or stroke? I seem to feel ok but its 251 am where I live ,im tired but nothing unusual. Is it possible that it was just from laying in that position and its nothing or could it be a heartat

Today I went to the heart doctor again, I went to see her once more during this week because I was having heart palpitatios. All my tests were OK, but I failed in the stress test because I was afraid to go on. I was afraid that I could have a heart attack. I was there for having heart palpitations! It was like running with a hurt leg! I dont think that stress test for my problem was good. I think it can really kill me. So she wrote me a medicine and asked me to come n do that stress test again one month later. What should I do? Any recommendations? I dont wanna take it.

my husband is 33 and has high blood pressure, it wont come down lower than 168/118. hes been on pills from the docs for about 10 days but his BP has gone up. there is a history of anurisms in his family, his dad died only a few years ago from 1 and i am worried that this might be a contributing factor to this problem. doc want to see him again next week but i was just wondering if anyone out there of about the same age suffers from the same problem. any advise would be gratefully accepted. thanks every1 and have a happy new year xx

My mom came home on hospice care today. 84 Yrs old, with a previously diagnosed aortic valve stenosis (AVS) that has become severe, congestive heart failure, now moderately severe chronic renal failure due to compromised blood flow from AVS. She developed a blistering rash, they think came from Lasix a couple of month ago and took her off diuretics. Also diabetic. I know, sounds BAD, but she was driving last week. Drs.now say there is nothing that can be done, and have her on comfort measure, oxygen, no diuretics. I struggle feeling like...are we accepting this verdict without enough research? Kidneys were fine until hospitalized and they tried to diurese her...created a lot of stress on her kidneys and creatinine rose to 3.9, but down to 2.9 without diuretics. But to do nothing? We live in a small town, but has been seen on best internist and another cardiologist who agreed with hospice. Just want to ensure I am not giving up too soon.
