Okay. Here's the rundown. My brother is a heart patient. He just had an open-heart surgery. It's his 5th. Since he got home from the hospital he has been taking Tylenol with Codiene. He has also been REALLY itchy! This morning my mom took him to the lab to get blood-tested. They took him off the Tylenol with Codiene, thinking it would help! But it didn't! He looks and feels WORSE! He has hives and told us he feels like his throat is closing up. Plz help! My brother needs your help more than anything in the world! We called the Doctor On Call at New York Prebstrityrian. My mom said that if the Doctor doesn't call back, we will have to bring him to the ER! Plz help me doctors! I think going to the ER is a GREAT idea but my brother would really like to know what is going on now! PLZ!!!!!!!! I REALLY NEED DOCTORS HELP! And we will DEFINITLEY take the prayers of others! PLZ HELP!

I have been dianosed with severe arotic stenosis. I am scheduled for cauterization next month, to determine if corotid arteries are good.

I was told I will need an arota vale replacement.
As my income is from social security, I am terified of the cost and where to find the money. I understand medicare will pay 80% but that leaves 20 % to pay.
My main questions are: What is the cost of this operation?
If someone has under gone this type of sugery, How many days in the hospital, and quality of life after?
North Carolina is the most likley location for this operation. If any one could provide information from this area I would be greatful.
This is a very recent diagnosis.
Thanks to all.

If I exercised for at least one hour on a treadmill a day, 7 days a week, how long before I'd notice a drop in blood pressure? Would it begin to take effect in under 6 months or no? I don't know if I'm phrasing this correctly, but I just would basically like to find out how long it would take for my blood pressure to start dropping if I were to adopt a healthier lifestyle and exercise (because I'm fairly sedentary due to my job). Thanks. (I'm looking for expert advice or advice from people who have lowered their blood pressure or know of someone who has. My goal is to lower my blood pressure and by extension my resting heart rate.) :)

My 2-year-old daughter has 2 heart murmurs that are innocent. She had an EKG last week and the PA said that she was in excellent health and can be discharged from their pediatric cardiology practice. Today I got a phone call from her saying that there was a nonsignifigant finding that the voltage looks high (spikes on the EKG) and that she should have a echocardiogram next week. What does this mean?
