not all "holes" in te heart need surgery. There are a lot of other factors to consider - location, pressures in the two sides of the heart and especially in the blood vessels of the lung. There is a chance for closure both for ASD and VSD. Medicines are neeeded only if the heart is not pumping too well, and to prevent infection during procedures like dental work and so on. Device (called "umbrella" in another reply ) is available in many centres in India and is safe. OPen heart surgery is the last option

Pray....Hope...Make sure you and your child are fighters. I guarantee if you or your child give up hope, then the worst will occur, but fight, pray, and have hope, and hopefully things will be all right. :) I don't know, I guess about the surgery. Open heart surgery is probably the best solution. Talk to a professinal. They'll be able to help you the most.

it depends whether the hole between the atria or ventricles.
anyway there is a procedure where they close the whole through a cathitor that travels to the heart & deliver an UMBRELLA that will seal the hole , the whole proceduer take half an hour without open heart surgery, i am sure they have it in india.
otherwise you may try to contact the MAYO clinic in Rochester,Minnesotta,USA & THEY MAY AGREE TO TRAET YOUR CHILD FOR FREE, just give it a try.Their phone # is
888 428 4507
try to talk to them & convince them
GOOD luck for your child.

ur child has a VSD(ventricular septal defect) which @ age 7 isn't going to heal on its own, it needs a surgical closure, there is no way around it, the sooner you do it better prognosis you your child's problem will have, if you delay it for a long time then it will further complicate your child's problem. I'm sorry I'm in USA so cant tell you the best hospital in Punjab

No medicine will work. Only the surgery is the solution. If some one promises without surgery, be carefull. It is congenital defect and only a surgery will cure it.
