Are these four SEPERATE applications or the same one just carried through the different stages? Almost everyone is denied the first time, you have to use the appeal not just a new application. I am bipolar and have fibromyalgia as well but was approved at FINAL hearing-I had to carry it through a long ways-because I also have complete upper body tremors of unknown origin that no medications are able to reliably control.

Get a lawyer, Since Bush has been in office he's done numerous things to change the regulations and such that prevent people from qualifying.
He's done this with Veterans's Pensions. He's even tried to do an end run around congress to stop all veterans from drawing disability pensions. I know this as i work with veterans every day.
Imagine him doing this to the Vet's, while saying he supports the troops and sends them to iraq to be maimed or killed.
He's a sick selfish, president.

Who are THEY? Maybe you need to ask them in writing why THEY are denying you disability status. Not sure what RA and OA are, fibromyalgia is not recognized as a medical condition in many countries, so it also depends on what country you are in.

Who is the "they", are you referring to the social security administration on an application for SSI? If so, they have a tough criteria, you have to not be able to work, and generally, people with those conditions can work at something. Most people have to get a lawyer to get approved. If the "they" is someone else, it is hard to guess why.

I have never heard of having both RA and OA. Get a lawyer and fight it if you think you are entitled.

I assume this is for SSI or SSDI. My advice would be to get a lawyer who specializes in disability. Some lawyers will work for no money up front, but then take a percentage of whatever award from SSI/SSDI you get.
