What is the youngest age that you've heard of someone having a heart attack ...

the reason I'm asking is because I've heard of quite a few people in their 30s now having them due to clogged arteries, and I lost 2 friends who were 42 at the time ... none of them had "bad hearts" and all were quite unexpected ... I'm just wondering is this going to be the new epidemic in young people because of how we're living now .... and why isn't this out there, not just it's bad for you ! there should be real life stories being told, so it can have more of an effect. I'm just taken by all this thats all. I always new you could have heart trouble and have a heart attack at any age, but all these cases have to do with a fixable health condition. so keep answering and thanks to all.

Happy Healthy New Year to You!!!

I have heard of a baby but not sure of the full details, something to do with infection or internal organ failure.

Sadly I heard a case where a young 4 year was forced to swim lap after lap by the swimming coach, the child stopped a few times saying they were tired, and could not breath, only to be told by coach to continue swimming, the poor little thing had a heart attack and died.

So in short yes even a baby can have a heart attack.

Sadly children and babies having heart problems and heart attacks is more common now. So i'd say a baby would be the youngest to have a heart attack. I'm 25 and I've had a couple myself, its not as common in young adults and children as it is in older people but it does happen.
