Carl you give us very little information about yourself. Age, risk factors for cardiac disease (smoker, diabetes, high blood pressure, family history of heart attacks, cholesterol level) and your prior medical history.
The symptoms you describe sound most like asthma but I could not possibly rule out angina without knowing more. Typical angina does present as a fullness or tightness in the chest associated with activity and improved with rest. The discomfort often will go away very quickly with stopping whatever activity is prompting the discomfort. Angina sometimes is associated with shortness of breath, perfuse sweating, and a radiating of the chest discomfort to the neck, jaw, shoulder and arm.
Asthma on the other hand is often worsened with deep inspiration. Once it is acting up, it usually doesn't go away quite so fast as typical angina. You sometimes can sometimes illicit a wheeze with deep breaths. Both asthma and angina are worsened with exposure to cold weather.
These are some basic guidelines. Even if you think this may be asthma - it almost certainly warrants evaluation by your doctor. Asthma can be dangerous too. It can progress into respiratory distress and in some cases even death.
So take it easy for now until this can be evaluated. Make an appointment with your family doctor in the next week. If you have chest pain that is not relieved with rest, chew a full dose aspirin and get to the ER for further evaluation.
Good luck.

It could be high cholesterol, or other heart complications.
If you're over weight, then that explains it well.
