I got CHF after MASSIVE MI post car crash. Today, my Ejection fraction is 50% & holding steady. My kidney functions, creatinine clearance, albumin, liver panel & lipids are fine. 9 months after car crash, I thought myself stable. slowly, urination dwindled & fluids swelled up throughout lower trunk & liver area. I am nauseous, can barely drink a bit of liquid. I can't sleep lying down, breathing worsens, I sleep standing up,(U figure) I gasp upon exertion, mild activity, I have legs rigid and swollen like pressurized balloon. AM in agony from pain. Drs gave me torsemide diuretic. Totally failed to expel fluids. (btw I take lisinopril & hydralazine for HTN) Tell me, someone, anyone, when diuretics fail, & fluid swells the body, what are possible treatments? I won't enter hospital;- I'm terrified, uninsured & I've been told that diuretics are their only reliance also. Any uncommon meds U know of for outpatients? If I am hopeless, how will my death come about?? PRAY FOR ME, PLEASE!

Im supppose to be in good shape..perfect weight, good blood pressure and clear lungs and strong heart.I have been checked by two doctors and found to be ok.I don't seem to have the symptoms of heart disease but my heart beats funny sometimes.or seems to.I spoke to a nurse that says this is normal.I worry when my heart beats too fast when doing things and then I worry when it seems slow and sometimes I worry when it just doesn't feel right or sounds right .. Is there anyway for sure you can definitely tell there is something wrong.Today I woke hearing the beat sound weird.I got worried and have felt scared all day ,,and couldn't get my mind off of it.It even gave me stomach acid that caused it to skip beats thus adding worry..Is there really anyway for you to know for sure other than the doctor if you are having heart problems or just feeling anxious..Could anxiety be a tip off that you are going to have a heart attack?

I was taking blood pressure medicine “Bisoprolol” my resting pulse rate was 70. Abruptly stopped taking Bisprolol (Doctor Recommendation) and resting pulse has been 95 to 105 since. Question is: Will my pulse go back to 70?

I understand that going off Bisoprolol abruptly is not recommended, But my doctor said it was no problem. So I’m sitting here feeling like s--- wondering if the doctor was wrong.

This AAA discovered 3 years ago in a routine exam (no symptons). Annual ultrasounds show no enlargement but a slight shrinkage (not significant re margin of error in ultrasound process).

My usual resting heart rate is 56; now it is 93 b.p.m and can't get it down. My Blood Pressure is low 99/64 to 101/69. I do get a lot of tightness in the chest and my left arm is numb at times. I'm very active, I'm training for a half-ironman. Is this something I should worry about or just carry on?

I've been having stabbing chest pains above and to the right of my heart for about a year now. I went to the doctor recently, and he told me that I may have Pre-Cordial Catch Syndrome, which he said is thought to be a pinched nerve in my chest cavity. He said it's nothing serious, I dont think hes right though; it hurts very much and very often.
He wont give me any medicine for it.

What else could it be?
Has anyone had the same problem?

1 yr ago car struck me badly, had MASSIVE MI, developed damaged left ventricle & major scarring throughout heart. IN August developed hard edema from feet thru knees, stiff &agonizing. worsened daily. Swollen liver. MDs gave me torsamide as only hope of expelling fluids out thru urine. NOTHING was expelled, HCTZ failed also. MDs informed me that there is no definite protocol or methods when diuretics fail. I am alone & won't entr hospitals as they have no specific remedies. I have ejection fraction of 50% & I take lisinopril & metaprolol daily for BP. What can I do - how will my end come? I am in agony, legs & thighs so stiff I can't bend knee to wear pants, to climb stairs. Liver swollen like pressurized baloon. I can't lie down or sleep. I pass the nite standing against a plaster wall. MDs explained how damaged ventricles no longer pump blood well, then return blood backs up into organs & tissues as edema of plasma. - If you are christians or worship HA-SHEM - pray tonite for me.
