I was taking blood pressure medicine “Bisoprolol” my resting pulse rate was 70. I Abruptly stopped Bisoprolol (9 days ago). Resting pulse has been 95 to 105 since. Question is: Will my pulse eventually go back to 70?

Doctor told me to stop! I questioned he told it was not. He's a great old guy, but I think he was wrong! If I had been my own doctor I would have known that Micardis would not offset the effects of stopping bisoprolol. Now I trying to figure out what to do.

Wean your self off the medication,I'm on metoprolol. Call a pharmacist,if u don't believe me.He's wrong, you suppose to.Darn u are Micardis too. You on the same med. I'm on. I'm on a beat blocker Metoprolol 50mg twice a day and Micardis 80mg once a day.Serious u have to wean off that medication. You Could have a heart attack. Do u still have the papers from the medicine you bought from the pharmacy, read it,it should tell u everything u want to know.My email is www.mykezh@yahoo.com if u want some more info.

Since you "abruptly stopped" Bisoprolol then I must assume you want to become your own doctor???

That's sort of like being your own lawyer???

Both aren't very smart!

You might want to talk to a Doctor (before it's too late)!

Goodluck!
