Suzi - Jarvik and Bernard do not do percutaneous coronary interventions. Jarvik is the gentleman who is credited with the first artificial heart and who now hawks Lipitor. Bernard is credited with performing the first heart transplant. Dr. Andreas Gruentzig performed the first percutaneous coronary intervention (i.e. coronary angioplasty) in 1977 in Switzerland. You should be able to find plenty of info about him with a simple internet search.
