When you test your blood sugar, do you use the same finger all the time or do you change.

I was told by the pharmacist it didn't make a difference in which finger you tested but someone I worked with says it keeps a balance with your readings using the same finger.

I am 46 and have always had perfect sugar levels with sometime on the low side- 70's.
this morning I had 139 but i had just had a cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons of sugar and and english muffin with jelly.

are there any natural ways to help fight off diabetes using natural herbs and foods, if so please list them, i am paying out $250+ a month on medications that do not seem to be helping, and have been doing so for the last 3 years, i follow a strict diet with little to no sugars and carbs, but all i manage to do is go deeper in debt and get sicker.

I was put on insulin and it had a major side effect of putting extra weight on me. I was about 230#'s and losing weight (5" 11") just fine and then the insulin put 85 pounds on me and I can't seem to get it OFF....I also worked my way off the insulin 18 months ago and I still can't seem to lose weight.

My dad has diabetes 2 and high blood sugar. Drs are about to put him on insulin shots. Is there any kind of food that lowers high blood sugar? is there a special diet he should be on or foods that he should eat more of to help?

(background) I'm a 24yr old male who recently got diabetes. I'm not overweight or your steriotypical adult onset diabetes case. I may have gotten diabetes after my honymoon in mexico where I got sick (some say that certain viruses can attack your pancrease)... anyway
I have recently been exercising a lot. I don't currently visit a doctor or take medication for my condition. I simply eat good & excercise (which seems to work fine). I am only human & do sometimes eat things that I shoudn't, I am wondering if exercising will help offset the negative effects of greasy food or sweets. Thanks for the help!
