Medicaid and disability payments and the ability to cope with the cards you are dealt! I'm quite sure no one would ask to be stricken with epilepsy.

This "spouce" -- is it a dog or a cat? Maybe a horse or a cow? A pig or a mule? If so, I would just go to the nearest farm, along with the animal and just go and shoot the stupid thing.

Is this "spouce" a vegetable? If so, please donate it to science, as it has yet to be studied.

Is this "spouce" perhaps human (God forbid)? Then by all means, put him to bed, and lie down next to him and real close. Because that could be a thrill of a lifetime!!! Good luck!

Hello Suzi!
You ought to consider yourself fortunate; my own spouse has to deal with what we jokingly refer to as her "one-eyed, kidneys died, epi-betic, blood pressure's elastic, temper-spastic husband" (myself). I am also unemployed, and with my medical library's worth of ailments I can't even walk on the same side of the street as a private health insurance vendor. Between meds for diabetes, epilepsy, high blood pressure and kidney failure, our tab at the local pharmacy is frighteningly high. (I have heard rumors that the Provincial health care system is considering hiring a hitman to kill me, just because it'd be cheaper to pay for a hit contract than anonther months' worth of meds to keep me breathing!) At present, I am taking eleven (11) different prescription medications, as well as a regimen of vitamin supplements.
My seizure rate has increased dramatically, to the point where I was asked/forced to give up my driver's license; I have had seizures both in public and in private, I've sustained enough injuries for a combat unit as a result of these, and still, my family & I live with it. We have incorporated all of this into our lives, and have made allowances and contingency plans for all of this so that we can still enjoy life to the fullest.
I guess that I can only tell you to quit looking at the 'negatives' and focus on the 'positives'. Your spouse has a medical problem, and all of the stressing and moaning in the world won't change that. If you remember why you love him, then the other crap shouldn't be outweighed by something as comparitively insignificant as epilepsy and seizural episodes. That's the kind of thing you can make accomodation for if you try. If you are focused more on the money than you are the Honey, you're probably not married to this person for the right reasons anyway.
Try and enjoy your life with your spouse, because you never know when what you've got will be rudely ripped from your grasp.
Good Luck to You Both!

The word is spouse.....and if you got married the vows were for better or worse. I would have thought the epilsey would have been known to you BEFORE you got married...
Grow up and deal...if you can't, then leave....You need to talk to your spouse, a Dr and find some way to make it work. NO one here has an answer for you, you have to do it on your own...
