I am 46 and have always had perfect sugar levels with sometime on the low side- 70's.
this morning I had 139 but i had just had a cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons of sugar and and english muffin with jelly.
will that make your otherwise normal levels go up?
I checked it b/cuz I am feeling jittery and shaky and my dad is diabetic and i check it every so often for the hypoglycemia

You are really suppose to take your blood sugar at least 90 minutes to 2 hours after you eat. That way your body metabolizes everything. But dont check it before then because it would be a little higher. But keep a log of that because a pattern of higher blood sugar levels in a non diabetic would be a cause of concern. But 139 is not really high.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Yes. It'll probably go up because of the sugar. But it also depends on how much insulin you take in. Or if not. Usually if you are jittery and shaky you are low on sugar, 80 or below. So you probably took in too much insulin or ate to little carbs. It takes a few days for you to recognize if you are high though. I'm guessing you're low when you feel that way, because I'm also a diabetic :] Take in some glucose tablets. Just in case.

I don't know how hi up your sugar should go and still be hypoglycemic and not diabetes.
Your breakfast was loaded with carbs and those are what raises your blood sugar.
You have an English muffin- about 30 carbs
Jelly-30 carbs,sugar- at least 30 carbs. So you has about 90 carbs in one meal. That's just a touch hi.You sugar never got too hi so you seem ok.
Why don't you check with your doctor ? Then you don't have to be worried.
One way to lower your carbs in that breakfast is to have half a muffin with one egg on top.Coffee with equal and about 4oz of milk or an oz of cheese.

ok, good to check blood sugar occasionally ! I think 139 right after a breakfast of sugar is not too bad, but more important is your sugar level an hour later. I suggest you have your doctor do an A1c test on you, especially if your family has a history of diabetes.

Yes that would make it go up....139 is not all that high either. The safest way to check your sugar is in the morning before eating and again sometime in the evening. I would just check with your doctor to make sure that's ok

Of course it will make it go up.
2 tablespoons of sugar is a lot, and there is a TON of sugar contained in jams and jellies. If you have hypoglycemia or diabetes, I suggest definitely lowering the sugar in your coffee and cutting out jams and jellies altogether.
