I have a friend who was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer a few months ago. From what I was told, she started out on chemo and it stopped working so they put her on radiation. She told me a couple of weeks ago that it spread to her lymph nodes behind the ear and her chin and they were putting her on chemo. Things don't seem to be adding up when I do my research and she doesn't want to seem to talk about it. Are there any professionals out there or someone who has been thru this who can shed some light? I thought stage III meant that it had ALREADY spread to the lymph nodes and at this stage, surgery should be done along with chemo treatments afterwards. Please advise and thank you.

Very concerned friend

I am twelve years old and I have a sour taste in my mouth (bad breath) I guess. I have white lumps on the inside of both of my lips. I get mouth ulcers and I have a few lumps on the back of I went to the dentist the other week and they should be able to see abnormailities. Also, every toothpaste and mouth strip and mouthwash that I use stings my tongue. Is it normal for it to sting my tongue?

I often have leg pain & abdominal pain associated w. indigestion & constipation which I have heard is often associated with ovarian cancer. i am 23 and it seems as though the pain strikes right after my period for 2 weeks then goes away. this will go on for 3-4 months then i will have 2-3 months of no pain at all. this has been going on for about a year now? Are the symptoms of ovarian cancer usualy like this and on that sort of a time frame?

My dad has blood clot in his lung before, so they put a filter in to avoid the blood clot go into his upper body, but in these couple days, the blood clot build up in his leg, and it stuck below the filter, they said they can only use a small amount of blood thinner to avoid the new blood clot build up, because if they use a large amount of blood thinner, that will cause the bleeding in his brain, also even they use a small amount of blood thinner, there is a risk to cause the bleeding in his head.
So is there any way to deal with the blood clot without blood thinner? It's a urgent question, because my dad's leg is swallow like a elephant leg.

I am a twelve year old boy and I have a bad taste in my mouth all the time. No matter how many times I brush my teeth I sill have a bad taste in my mouth. I have heard that this is a sign of mouth cancer. I laready have some other signs of mouth cancer and I'm only twelve years old. Answer these two questions.

1. What causes bad breath and is it mouth cancer?

2. When I went to the dentist, would they be able to tell if I had mouth cancer by looking inside of my mouth?

now because it is on my mind now. With ovarian cancer in the latter stages is it normal to get differnet pains in different places? Not all at once but like a sharp shooting pain in diffent parts of your body that you do not expect? like near your kidneys, your side near your overies, your legs anywhere. And when they do it only lasts for about 5-10 seconds, then goes away. Is this normal for someone with ovarian cancer? I need your imput, before I go and see my doctor tomorow so I can get treatment. Serious answers please. And if it is normal for what I asked why is it?

Ok well it started out breast cancer, plus 16-17 positive nodes..the ONC told me there was a strong chance the cancer would re-occur even though I was going through high amounts of chemo
Well last week I was told that a mass was found in my back and shoulder...they would be starting rads Monday and also continue my chemo treatment.
These mass' most likely mean that I am stage 4...but the doctor says Im not terminal...I thought stage 4 was terminal...I dont even know what questions to ask...or what to think
Anyone got good advice about what I should do or ask???

My mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. I am wondering what that means for me and my future. Do I have to start having mammograms at an earlier age then most? Do I need special check-ups, other than my "yearly exam"? I am 28 years old.

Thanks.

A friend of mine once told me this story about a guy who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The guy had been a pretty bad person but decided to make the most of the time he had left and went to I think it was like a monastary in tibet or something, I'm not sure. Anyway he talked to a monk who told him that he got rid of his cancer by eating nothing but rotten foods. All the food he ate was rotten and he did this for two months and the cancer went away. According to the story the guy did the same and was cured of cancer himself. Apparently it worked because all the bacteria basically poisoned the cancer cells or something. I don't know, I can't remember all the details. I also remember a story about some sort of liquid that could be dripped into the blood stream and purge the body of cancer. Can't remember what it was though. Anyway I was just wondering what you thought of this. Have you heard of any stories similar to this? If so please summarize them. Thanks.
