My best friend has breast cancer but she does not have any medical insurance. She went to her local family independence agency and applied for it and the agency said that her case is now pending, but my friend needs hospital treatment right now and the hospital said they will not perform any treatment on her until her medical insurance comes through. My friend is now worried that while the hospital has her waiting for insurance that her cancer get be getting worser. I would like to know can the hospital be held liable if cancer gets worse while she is waiting?

Kinda like the old question,

Would you rather have _____ or your life? The obviously question is "your life", but many women choose other treatments in this case.

Obviously women don't want to lose their boob, but is the chance of dying worth the risk?

I recently caught a historian on the radio speaking about Lincoln, quoting him as characterizing slavery as "like a cancer". A discussion followed in the car over whether people in Lincoln's time even had an appreciation of what CANCER is/was, and at what stage in medicine's evolution did cancer sit in 1861. One of us doubted that anyone in that year even knew what cancer was, and whether the disease had even been identified and labeled as such. And was it common in those times to describe something that spread and killed as "a cancer"?

2) If we decide to bring her here in USA.. Which are the known places for such surgery and treatment of possible cancer in USA.
I live in Virignia.

My friend has been able go move her head only for years. Her mouth guides her wheelchair. A month ago she began to have electrical shock(feelings) in her jaw and of course this has made it impossible for her to eat or drink. She went to the hospital and got out a few days ago. We have to get water in her with a sirange(I sure do not know how to spell syerange). We will be saying good by to her soon because her family is moving her down to their town to a nursing home. How awful. She and we do not want her in the nursing home. Do you think this is the final stage for her? Please pray for this beautiful lady. She looks like Mrs.Clause. Can you give me ideas on time left?

I had my left kidney, adrenal gland, and lymph node removed a year and two weeks ago due to kidney cancer, I have had numerous ct scans and the last one show that three little white dots on my liver had developed into three large spots and were probably cancer, I am not a wealthy person, in fact we get by mostly on my husbands s.s. And this oncologist gave me a perscription that cost $5.701.72 for 120 tablets, well I just cannot afford that, so I need to know what vitamins and minerals will help me. DO YOU HAVE AN ANSWER? I am begging for your help

After colon cancer patients go through surgery,
the doctor makes an alternate exit (instead of the anus, since it is cut off) on the side of the body, for excretion.

What do you call the NOZZLE/CAP for the extra hole, in medical terms?

After my first treatment I got very nauseated and I could tell that my mouth was effected. Food tasted different and the center of my toungue could not taste anything. Also, my inside of my cheeks feel "thicker" and numb. My hair on my head has also began to fall out just a little. I had radiation to the pelvic area for uterine / cervical cancer and was told that I shouldn't have side effects anywhere other than the treatment area and most of the side effects would not occur until about the third week of treatment. I had a PET scan two days prior to the first radiation treatment. Could it be possible that the radioactive dye caused these symptoms or that the treatment was worse due to the residual of the dye? The cancer center is closed during the holidays so I thought I would try to get answers here. Thanks in advance.

Im 15YO and I have this lymph node on my right groin thats been there for about 3 to 4 years. It is 1cm in diameter. It isnt rock hard and it isnt overly soft. It is VERY mobile. It has never hurt or anything. The thing is, you can barely even see it when I look in the mirror. In fact I never really see it unless I rock my body forwards and then, obviously, I can see it. Its sort of the same way with my left side. I have one in the exact same spot on the left. Im tall and lenky so I dont know if that has anything to do with it (6' 4" and 180 lbs.). I started lifting and working out 3 or 4 years ago (No it is not a hernia) for my college football career at UCLA. Everyone of my friends all tell me that this is definitely nothing and Im worrying over nothing. Im a HUGE hypachondriac. Please dont say go to a doctor. I dont like doctors. But anyways everyone has said this is nothing and I need to calm down and enjoy life. Are they right? I have had no symptoms of anything cancerous ever.
