Hi,
My nephew ( 10 year old ) went through MRI scan and they discovered about 4 cm size tumor in her brain. While they are going for biopsy after surgical removal of the tumor. I have those MRI and other results scanned with me.
I am looking for second opinion here in USA.
1) How do I get some doctor read these reports and give their opinion.
2) If we decide to bring her here in USA.. Which are the known places for such surgery and treatment of possible cancer in USA.
I live in Virignia.

The big medical centres in the US have International coordinators who can help with this sort of thing. I have dealt with Mass General in Boston and I will add their International centre url to help you get an idea of what you are looking for if you need to be closer to home .

Go to Duke University Hospital its one of the biggest and they have a department that specializes in Brain Tumors. I believe they have a pediatric portion as well. They are the best known for brain tumor treatments.
The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center

You can send scan and biopsy results and they will be able to discuss probably with her parents what they can offer. I dont know if they will be able to talk to you unless the parents gave consent to you.
Depending on what grade astrocytoma and how much was removed she would need more treatment.
