I've had two swollen lymph nodes on my neck for about a year now and I went to my doctor who told me to see an ENT. I went to the first ENT and they said it was an artery, so I went back to my original doctor and told them they said it was an artery and nothing about a swollen lymph node. I then went to see a second ENT who said it was nothing and I'm most likely just fighting an infection(everyone says this but since they've been swollen for so long I don't think I am). I also have been very fatigued and have been coughing where it hurts and feels like pressure on my chest. I've found things about Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and I think this could be a possibilty? I'm nervous to ask my doctor incase they think I'm overreacting, and my mom doesn't really like to talk about it. I feel shes scared theres more wrong with me than we've found out. Any help and opinions or past experiences are welcomed. Also if you have NHL, can you say what symptoms sent you to the doctors for it?

okay.
I am a 14 year old girl,my best friend died December 2nd of this year after fighting for 7 months and 2 days with a very rare and aggressive type of cancer.
He went through a two major surgeries, with many smaller ones in between, including a major blood transfusion when an artery randomly busted.
The first surgery,on September 11th, was to remove a tumor in the shape of a barbell, the size of two baseballs hooked together in the middle. This tumor was in his right cheek area.
The surgery seemed to have removed it all,so he was cancer free for awhile, but then a month after that,he found another tumor in his brain.
Another surgery removed that one,but they then realized that it had already spread to his lungs.
They told us that this type of cancer was uncurable, and they couldn't do anything.
He wanted to try chemo one more time, but when that round came he was way to sick to do it,and the doctors refused.
in less than 3 months,he went from being cancer free,to so sick he couldn't walk

The chemotherapy did not work as I suspected. I never heard of anyone surviving chemotherapy induced leukemia. My mom's blast is 70% at the time now. She is now taking chemotherapy pills. I dont know why they giving her those after telling her that they cant cure her. And if those did not work she has only up to january or february to live. Best gift idea for her maybe last christmas.

I'm really concerned about my dad's smoking habits, so I forced him to go get a check-up, but outside the normal blood and cholesterol tests, there was no other body checkups. I hope nothing is wrong with him, but I'm still worried, so is a normal check-up all you need to make sure, or are there other tests?

My mom has a friend who was originally a client from her business and she was diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago.
My mom doesnt know what to write, should she not mention it at all..that would be kind of ignorant...
should she write that she appreciates her friendship and that if she needs anything, she'll be there to help her, to (try) to enjoy the holidays and the new year will bring new things.
this woman has a 13 year old daughter, so shes very depressed besides having cancer...
