My son recieved a chicken pox vaccine two weeks ago. Now my poor Dad who has cancer has Shingles and was hospitalized today. Is there any connection? My son's dr. never gave me any precautions and she said (only because I asked) that it would not be contagious to anyone else. I feel horrible thinking we should have thought and kept my son home for a while. Could my Dad have caught this from my son?

I know that people have had cervical cancer and never had an abnormal pap. My question is: How do I bring up the fact that I am suspicous of cervical cancer to my doctor without sounding like a drama queen? I have been experiencing alot of the symptoms associated with cervical cancer, and I have most of the risk factors. I have never had an abnormal pap, but I'm worried that if something is wrong, we're wasting time by waiting for one. Does anyone have any good advice? Has anyone ever been faced with this??

Anal Cancer. Farrah Fawcett has been diagnosed with it recently. Until I read the article yesterday, I had never heard of it..... for someone as fit as she is, makes you wonder how this could have happened. There are 4600 new cases every year compared to 148,000 colorectal cancer. It develops in the area connecting the large intestine to the outside of the body, and is easily missed. Why haven't we heard about this type of cancer before now?

I went to the ER because of massive bleeding in my stool-then I went to a specialist and he said I had a large tumor in my intestines.

My symptoms have been: blood in stool, abdominal cramps, weight loss, nausea, very weak and tired

I have to have a colonoscopy next week but I was always under the assumption that only older people can get colon cancer

I am very nervous...could I have colon cancer?
